To me there is a difference between the setlist for 1992 being the same, and the setlist being 90% the same for 6 full years give or take. That said, the inclusion of Perhaps, Bad Obsession, PTU, Anything Goes, Reckless LIfe, on top of the slow tiny additions over the years of SOYL and Slither have helped a lot as of late in terms of giving repeat concergoers some new stuff Your point is valid. Especially the 6 year comment, but I follow a page that lists setlist from the UYI tour on IG and 1992 was almost always the same songs. Now, if the internet were around people would complain they played the same songs. The band have always played the same songs with some mixed in. Thankfully Axl has added songs that have not been played in ages.
Powerage5
I've seen them 7 times since 2016 (2016 x2, 2017 x2, 2021 x2, 2023 x1). Gnrcane
As a comparison, I went back and looked at the setlist from when I saw them 12/31/91: Welcome to the Jungle Mr. Brownstone Live and Let Die Attitude (Duff) Nightrain Bad Obsession Double Talkin' Jive Civil War It's So Easy Patience Rocket Queen November Rain You Could Be Mine Sweet Child o' Mine Don't Cry Move to the City Knockin' on Heaven's Door Estranged Paradise City (somehow timed for the double time part to coincide with midnight) I much prefer the modern day 20 minute RQ to the endless Sorum drum solo from the UYI tour!
North Korean Democracy
Do they have a written setlist this year? These shows seem to be ISE, BO, CD, Slither and then Mr. B. Jungle, HS, PTU etc in a seemingly random order

Jungle, HS, PTU etc in a seemingly random order no they use a Guide setlist for every show which is the same setlist as the abu dhabi show then they pick the order when they're playing. last show they played Mr B 4th then slither 5th i think they did that in Madrid then another show in Europe they played ISE, Mr B & BO as the first 3 which is the only show they've done that so far. so the setlist could be fully randomised in one show but we dont know that yet

At Graspop Mr. Brownstone didn't get played at all, which is unusual, and in Pitsburgh it was played third after Bad Obsession, but before Chinese Democracy
Cosmo
5 GNR concerts, only 24 different songs. Half of the songs were present in ever show I went to, half weren't. KeyserSoze
To put this argument in perspective, I saw Pearl Jam TWO times last week in Dallas. Over just those two nights, I got 48 different songs. Over the whole 8 date tour they played 105 DIFFERENT songs. If you want bands that do variety, they're out there. luciusfunk
I've never personally complained about their setlist except for the show I went to in Dallas 2011. They played Out Ta Get Me, but not Better. At least I got Estranged and Don't Cry, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

sploit
In terms of songs I'd most like to see GN'R play live that I haven't seen so far - probably: Locomotive TWAT Prostitute Sympathy For The Devil Oh My God In no particular order, but overall the first 3 mentioned I would like to see especially so, I think. Pretty wild that Slash has played TWAT more times (16) than SoD (10). Even Catcher has been played more often since the reunion (13). Actually, I'm surprised that Prostitute has been played more than those three songs, mostly in 2017 (18 times!), would have never predicted any of that. DoMw94
Finally got round to doing this properly. Five shows – London 2017 (night 2, Download 2018, London 2022 (both nights), and London 2023. I think everything's there – 46 songs, solos included, intros not (except Rumble which felt appropriate for some reason). Broken down as the setlist from my first show, then the additions from every subsequent show I've been to. It's So Easy x5 Mr. Brownstone x5 Chinese Democracy x5 Welcome to the Jungle x5 Double Talkin' Jive x5 Better x3 Estranged x5 Live and Let Die x5 Rocket Queen x4 (including the new arrangement played in 2023) You Could Be Mine x3 You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory/New Rose x1 This I Love x2 Civil War x5 Yesterdays x1 Coma x3 Slash solo (Johnny B. Goode/Godfather) x2 Sweet Child o' Mine x5 (twice with Carrie Underwood) Out ta Get Me x1 Wish You Were Here x2 November Rain x4 Black Hole Sun x2 Knockin' on Heaven's Door x5 Nightrain x5 Don't Cry x2 Whole Lotta Rosie x1 Paradise City x5 (twice with Carrie Underwood) Slither x4 You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory/Attitude x1 Shadow of Your Love x1 Wichita Lineman x2 Patience x4 The Seeker x1 Rumble x3 Reckless Life x2 I Wanna Be Your Dog x2 Absurd x3 Hard Skool x2 Slash solo (Born Under A Bad Sign) x1 You're Crazy (slow) x1 Slash solo (Mannish Boy) x1 (Also had Blackbird as something of a standalone, but served as an intro the night before so not included) Bad Obsession x1 Pretty Tied Up x1 Down on the Farm x1 T.V. Eye x1 Anything Goes x1 Slash solo (unknown/jam) x1 Edited September 21, 2023 by DoMw94
