WhazUp
That artwork does fit the title - it looks like General artwork for a GNR song, not Specific artwork

bangit
Not sure what people really want from the artwork? 🤔 It's fine. Perfectly reasonable image. Better than a weird 8 ball thing for perhaps.
Popular Post MJRoses23
After having listened to both tracks extensively since they leaked and giving it time to marinate, I think Soul Monster/Monsters is in my top 3 GNR songs ever. The General is amazing, but Soul Monster is a masterpiece. 3 1
gavgnr
So, what’s the consensus. Is Monsters about child abuse or a toxic relationship? I think the former. Thoughts?

It's another Steph song. I don't see anything in the lyrics that even hint at child abuse.
2020_Intensions
I'm certain the "official" version is going to be barely, if at all, different than the leak we got

Also, Evader's instrumental of Monsters is better than the NITL version, for the most part. The superior version is probably the real one with Buckethead, hopefully we hear it one day. 1 2
Arnuld
I guess they had to spend the logo money to pay off Kat. It looks like Fernando’s 3rd cousin from Brazil who moonlights as a graphic designer came up with that artwork.
Gordon Comstock
The last time they had good album/single artwork was the CD/Shackler's 7" (which is just the back of the CD vinyl) and the CD 'box set' with the t-shirt and belt buckle. The Red Hand cover was nice too, if that counts. But all the NITL-era singles have had cheap looking artwork

Towelie
Does anybody really care about Spotify single covers??? I'm sure they'd come up with something halfway decent if hell freezes over and they actually release an album.

They have 10 million subscribers. More examples but that's enough. GNR's first official video since Moses wore short pants should have similar numbers. Instead they can't even get their own subscribers to watch. Those bands actually promote their material though. I'm speaking about the success of songs released by GNR relative to other GNR songs. I accept your concession. No need to be immature because you have no response. Quote Your defending of the shitshow that is the gnr (mis)management and release plans is breath-taking. they wont shag you mate. False again. Here's a tip: in the future, try reading something before responding to it, instead of getting triggered at the strawman in your head. It’s as mythologized as Chinese Democracy itself was. I like the song. I like “Monsters.” I don’t get bogged down with the thought of what is and isn’t a “big gun.” I just enjoy listening to new Guns N’ Roses songs. Fuckin’ “Perhaps” is my most played song on Spotify this year … and it only came out three months ago. 😂 I don't know why people were expecting anything beyond what we heard on CD. A lot of the big songs on there had repetitive structures. Look at Madagascar. A much better song than TG, but similarly repetitive. It's one of my biggest criticisms of CD era material; with all the time spent on it, they weren't constantly re-writing and adding new sections to the songs. Even AFD songs were more progressive; WTTJ has a distinct intro, verse, chorus, short solo, clean bridge, a bigger solo built around a different chord progression from the first, and a breakdown with it's own little bridge that gets us back to the chorus. For all the grandiosity CD promised, the songs were never all that structurally complex, they just had a ton of layers over generally simple chord progressions. That said, I still like a lot of CD material. 1 hour ago, Gordon Comstock said: The last time they had good album/single artwork was the CD/Shackler's 7" (which is just the back of the CD vinyl) and the CD 'box set' with the t-shirt and belt buckle.
