A book is forever, a podcast or tv show is not. An autobiography would be for the fans who would gladly invest some time into reading it, instead of having a podcast on in the background or watching a tv show after work. Some things are worth your time. I would be devastated if they split tomorrow. Well, maybe devastated is a strong word, but I would be very sad at least. I still enjoy the shows, as do many, many people.

Hello, I searched for a thread about GNR related tattoos and couldn't find it... So, if you have any and want to share yours, here it is I just got mine done, I've been wanting it for a long long time

Of course not everyone will know who he is, but he's more than 'broken into the mainstream from time to time'. Being at the oscars doesn't mean much, but he's played the superbowl, was the face of a massively successful video game (Guitar Hero), played with everyone from Eazy E to Michael Jackson to Lemmy. He's literally the 'classic rock guitar player' halloween costume lol, his look is even more iconic than the music he's played. I could go on, but if there's any guitar player that's managed to keep their pop culture relevance as high as other (older) pop stars, it's Slash.

I would be disappointed. I broke my foot three days before the GNR show at MetLife. I didn't have the chance to see them last year. Additionally, seeing GNR is my enjoyment. When you work for a high pressure company and have to deal with some other stress, you want to do things that bring you enjoyment. Eventually GNR will cease to exist. Why would any fan want to rush the inevitable? Go to the concert and enjoy the music. There will come a day where either you or GNR will not be able to do so.

Axl Rose is 62 years old. It's fucking insane reading ya'll say shit like "years later" in regards to when GnR will get around to new music .... It's like there's no self awareness that this dude is 62 years old and has had a declining vocal capability for years now ... Too bad he didn't predict that there would only be one more Guns n' Roses studio album after UYI (2 if you count TSI) so that fans could have been prepared.

On my way home from the show and I have to say it was A LOT better than I expected. Band was great (Myles included, even though I’m usually not his biggest fan). The crowd seemed very into it although the older songs were received better than the 4 stuff. Slash was awesome! My favorites were Driving Rain, Back from Cali, Starlight, Dr Alibi, Bad Apples, WOF and Rocket man. I’d definitely go and see them again.

I think they should have done it, if there is any way to make Axl Rose's current live voice seem much better in the eyes of many it is having it side-by-side with Vince Neil's current voice which is way worse

This comment from Youtube lol: @Nitromessiah 7 hours ago This is one of the worst version of this classic song I've ever heard. Slash wrote 1-3 great licks, and has made an entire career off of it. He's just average at best, but he looks cool doing it.

The production value on both songs we have heard so far is orders of magnitude better than anything I have heard from Slash since WOF or from GNR since the early 90's. I wish someone could get Axl locked in a room and force him to listen to how well produced this new Slash stuff is and ask him how on earth he isn't ashamed to put the GNR name on the last batch of songs they have been releasing. Kudos to Slash on this project though as it feels fresh and dynamic despite being an album of cover songs. He clearly didn't mail it in and just slap his name on it as something to release to keep his name out there. I think my favorite thing about him is that regardless of what genre he is playing he manages to kind of fit in yet still sounds like himself and how you expect Slash to sound. When he played with Michael Jackson even I marveled at that how it was still clearly Slash but not Slash at all if that makes sense. I think he could make a killer southern rock style album with a guy like Chris Stapleton based on how good this song sounds.
