"What Movie Did You Watch?" - 2020 Edition

Recommended Posts

I think that one of the things horror does best is reflect society and culture back to us. So the Captain Kirk mask fits imho and if one hates the Trek, even better maybe?

Sidenote, Axl gifted Bucket a Michael Myers mask.

The only thing I can remember about that movie is the bit when she runs up the stairs and they turn into marshmallows because I'm a big fan of marshmallows.

Saved me typing that out all over again.

The Elephant Man.

This is such a sad movie.  John Hurt was amazing.

When I first saw this movie it really freaked me out. So different from Halloween and Friday the 13th.

I actually met many actors from the Elm Street movies including Robert England. All super nice except for Heather Langencamp. She gets insulted when you tell her she was lucky to work with Johnny Depp. lol

Well thats fuckin’ ruined that for me, thank you very much

I thought everyone knew it was based on Captain Kirk (Bill Shatner) lol

But the later Halloween masks looked horrible. Too thin

Fort Apache (1948)

Evil Dead (2013)

The remake of the Evil Dead wasn't too bad. Loved Bruce Campbell's cameo at the end.

Midsommar (2019). @DieselDaisy you were right about Brexit man, the less we’re associated with these psycho bastards the better, fucking mung bean eating hippies, see they throw you off with their robust Viking DNA and their liberal attitude to pornography but inside they’re deeply immoral people

Survival Island(2005).  Bad movie, but it is a shipwrecked, deserted island movie.  Kelly Brook is gorgeous.  Apparently when the boat went down she grabbed some shaving cream and razor blades.  At the end of the movie, her legs and armpits had no hair, even though she'd been there a year.   Again, its a bad movie but, so bad its kind of OK.  Lots of eye candy.

Was this good? It looked interesting. Will probably see it on a cable channel when it's available. The ads reminded me of The Wicker man movies.

Is this with Billy Zane? I think I saw this one. Wasn't there another man in the mix too?

Hustlers. Jennifer Lopez , Constance Wu stared in it. The movie came out last year and is running on Showtime . It is ok. Funny. Based on a true story. .

I went to the theatre to see this. I really liked this movie. J Lo doing that pole dance was amazing! All the girls were funny at one time or another.

Interesting story. Never really heard of it before this movie.

I liked how the women looked after each other. Doesn't happen in too many movies. Ocean 8 was like that. Cool story with strong women.

Yes, Billy Zane and some other guy. The other guy started having sex with her while Billy Zane was on the island.

Yes, he killed the other guy. Later on a boat came by and picked her up and Billy saw them leaving, and she didn't let them know that he was there.

Okay, I remember that now. Bummer for Billy. lol

I can't imagine being left on a deserted island although now might not be too bad.

Swedish film, is it? Outside the great Ingmar Bergman I haven't seen much from Sweden. Might watch it at some point.

Yeah it is kinda Wicker Man-ish.  Very well directed, even if the story does leave you with a few questions.  That's sometimes a good thing.

I know. Let me tell you, my friend and I and my mom went to see J Lo in concert last year. She was freakin amazing. I would have never gone if my friend didn't want us to go. The woman can sing dance and she did the pole dance on stage too! She was amazing.

I remember her talking to Jimmy Fallon saying how bruised and black and blue her legs were from learning it. She had to wear shorts and a bra to get her skin to grip the pole. She said Cardi B helped her learn since that girl did that for a living lol

Yeah, me too.

did anyone ever see that Santa movie from Finland? I forgot what it's called? I loved it. They talked Finnish and English. The movie was pretty cool. It's about the bad Santa. Much better than Krampus.

Rosemarys Baby (1968)

My satanic mood continues.

One of the all time best horror movies. I also read the book. The movie is pretty close to the book.

I also read the Omen before I watched it. That movie freaked me out. The original one with Gregory Peck. The remake wasn't as good.

I just watched The Bodyguard (the 1992 Whitney Houaton vehicle) for the first time and holy shit, what a terrible movie.

I'm far from the biggest movie critics, but there were so many problems with this pile of shit that I don't even know where to start.
