I've traveled across the USA twice, via plane and spent nights in hotel rooms. I've also been to around 10 or so concerts of various sizes from clubs up to stadiums since they started up again. Oh and we've gone to the movie theater at least twice. I was watching CNN and they were talking about how numbers of covid are going down and the omicron will peak and start going down. I have been saying for weeks that people are still in the hospital over 100,000 and over 2300 people died yesterday. The woman on CNN mentioned this and said even though numbers are going down, these numbers are still high. Of course, most are unvaccinated, but people are dying and if you know any of them, it's hurting you and many others. 63% of Americans are vaccinated now, but still sick and in the hospital and others dying so the virus is still alive and well. As far as I'm concerned any amount of deaths is too many. I will continue to wear a mask and be cautious and I consider my right to do so and stay away from the morons who think they have the right to infect others with their un vaccianted asses. My daughter has been okay going to school I work from home and my parents are retired so they only go out to the school for my daughter and Walmart. None of us have eaten out in over a year now do we go to huge events. The only concerts I've been too was KISS in October and Asking Alexandria in November. The National Guard are now teaching in many schools in New Mexico because they had over 22,000 deaths from covid just yesterday. The Gov of New Mexico was teaching kindergarden classes. I bet they got it when they landed in Bejing. Well that sucks. I saw the athletes going through the airport and the greeters had hasurd suites on, so that's not good. Honestly, it it was me I would have gotten on the next plane home. I don't think anyone is safe in China and not just from covid, but the government too. The country’s immigration minister cancelled his visa on the grounds that Djokovic’s presence in Australia may be a risk to the health and “good order” of the Australian public and “may be counterproductive to efforts at vaccination by others in Australia”. That is the problem, they allowed Novak to participate in the tournament, then when he arrived in the country they changed the story. If they had said before he came that unvaccinated people could not enter the country, he would of course not have gone to Australia. EDIT: Personally, I think Djokovic will be vaccinated.
