It’s 4-5 days depending how you do it and there’s always a lot of great acts across all the stages so you could see 5-6 good bands each day easily. Away from the music there’s tons of stuff going on. When you compare the scale of Glastonbury and it’s ticket prices to the PowerTrip Festival, Glasto is great value.
SilverMachine Posted May 30, 2023 Author Posted May 30, 2023 Set times confirmed - GNR get 2 hours and 15 minutes. Rick Astley opens the Pyramid Stage that day!https://glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/line-up-2023/?stage
Stress Fracture Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 This kind of confirms that they were just paying lip service when calling Lizzie a co-headliner because 1 hour isn’t a headline act. Anyway, 2h15m is a good length and what they should probably be doing at all shows now. They also get ten minutes more than Elton which is kind of wild given his formidable back catalogue.

Don't know how they get away with it as other festivals definitely can't, but Glastonbury finish times can often overrun, so I wouldn't be surprised if they just do their usual set length.
wendirose Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Good to see this confirmed. Well hopefully this thread can get filled up with good photos then, and some memories.
Stay.Of.Execution Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 "The BBC’s Glastonbury 2023 TV schedule from June 17-23 will be shared in full on Wednesday, June 7, with the schedule from June 24-30 available from June 14."
JimiRose Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 (edited) First Article I have seen relating to GnR at glastonbury thise week. Stay.Of.Execution Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 ok so can anyone clear this up: is it possible to watch the stream outside the UK? and is it possible to do so without using vpn, cause i am too lazy for that.

No idea about where it's broadcast but if you do need a VPN download Urban VPN. Dead easy to use and free, you just select what country you need to be in and you're set. Used it to stream Rock in Rio and had no issues

However, as the show continued he pretty much turned things around, the crowd got into it. I've seen GN'R 9 times (will be 10 after Hyde Park), I think that might be my favorite time seeing GN'R along with the first time I saw the reunited lineup in 2016. Axl is and will continue to be a controversial figure, it is what it is. Hopefully they come out on top at Glastonbury, if played right, a shorter set might benefit greatly in that setting. You will definitely need a VPN. When I have tried to watch Iplayer abroad it hasn't let me. It might be best to look on satellite tv abroad for a BBC channel. A lot of countries have a BBC channel in their tv packages and that miiiiigght be showing glastonbury highlights. 1
rumandraisin Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 So jealous of everyone going to Glasto today. Next year...I'll be there deffinately. I last went 2015 when Funkadelic, Kasabian, The Libertines were playing. Great year.
JimiRose Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 done some more research - Guns N Roses headline set will be shown in FULL from 10pm - 2am on BBC2 Saturday night. (note this is slightly behind actual live, GnR could play longer than the allotted time - foo fighters and paul mccartney both went over curfew and were NOT cut off). There will also be WORLDWIDE Youtube coverage available of selected highlights on the BBC Music Youtube channel. Apparently the set will be available in Ultra HD if your TV allows. The full set will then be on BBC Iplayer to watch anytime from monday 26th. If you want to watch it abroad the only way to do it is to download a UK streaming friendly VPN, go to bbc iplayer website at 10pm uk time and steam the show live on the TV tab on BBC2. 1 1
wendirose Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Had no idea this would be streamed in full. Pleasant surprise.
alfierose Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 I'm going to move the show thread across early for this one. Can everyone post useful info etc. in to that thread to keep it in one place. Thanks 1
