I've seen a lot of AI specialists and more recently one of the leading developers wave the warning flags for AI. I think the suggestion is that the AI is learning at rates and in ways that they never expected and they don't really understand how. The only thing these rich guys in their 80s are thinking is "how quick can we get to the finish line first so we can make the money first and be the industry leader" not thinking of the long term results of all of this. AI won't stop artists from doing their own thing and creating something new (maybe keep a few of them having regular jobs though) so I really don't think it's as bad as some of you try to make it seem. Is not art if it's not human, perhaps, but there's still value in entertainment that doesn't come from art. I understand the novelty and attraction to play with AI, but I fear that we’re dooming our entire existence with every little “fun” or “convenient” task we give AI. “It’s all fun and games until...” If you examine the risk/reward: Will the frivolity and newfound luxuries be worth it, if we’re reduced to rubble? At BEST, AI will be exploited by Capitalists and render millions of workers obsolete and lead to further poverty and redundancy. The good news is, with Axl being as successfully litigious as he is, hopefully he leads the way for artists and sues anybody and everybody involved in any and all unauthorized reproductions and amalgamations of his voice, that are copied from, sampled from and loaned from copyrighted albums, without his permission. I'm DOWNLOADING this and putting it on my GNR Unreleased playlist with things like Just Another Sunday, it fits right in. This is for me for all intents and purposes from now on an unreleased song from those sessions where Too Much Too Soon etc. came from. This vocal REALLY does actually sound like how he would sing it. My -ears- don't know that Axl didn't record this, only my brain does. I can easily ignore the mental part, so my ears are gonna have a fucking awesome time listening to this. Technology is going to allow us to get a glimpse of everything we missed out on, I'm waiting for Dirty Girl from World on Fire and Neither Can I / Doin' Fine from the first Snakepit album. So in the meantime, and probably for the rest of time, great substitute to Axl's inability to release music lol. Glad someone else hears what I hear. I am struggling to understand how this actually works, like I know this isn't Axl, but it sounds like a perfect replica. If he won't release music I'm more than happy to listen to fake robot Axl instead in the mean time 😆 I'm thinking that the tech is basically here where I'll be able to click a button and hear Axl singing lead vocals on all 10 of Izzy's solo albums. There is no reason for me to ever listen to the studio tracks with the clean voice ever again I never liked it. This is like autotune for singers just 1000x better, they can never lose their classic voice for studio recordings from now on no matter how old they get.
