The recording truly don't do justice to how the band sounds live. Well, it wasn’t like a flawless performance but I didn’t care. Just getting the song made the show. Honestly, it was pretty good. Axl got some power on that one.

Maybe it’s because we were in the back, but I’m no stranger to nosebleeds. It was QUIET. Sound was bad in the first third and got better as the show went on. I've noticed this at every GNR show I've attended this year, where even the opening bands have sounded louder and much better than GNR and it's quite frankly inexcusable. If the lazy ginger bastard bothered to turn up to soundcheck, these issues could be avoided, but no. It's downright disrespectful to the fans that pay the ever-inflating prices to go.

I was glad to eat at the Rainbow, at least! Tool rocks! You’ll have a great time. Eric Cantona
LOVE how much more audible the strings are in the live recording. Really contextualizes the part we heard for so many years.

People laughing, pointing out the falsetto, overheard someone saying “im here for Slash, he actually delivered”. Never really heard that kind of talk from the casuals before. Could just be coincidence but interesting to point out. The "reunion" as a selling factor has worn out. These are the final gasps of the package. a break, followed by Axl fixing his voice to an acceptable quality, and a new album is a proper path ahead should they really want to continue as a band.

kanecrescente
Well The General sounded even more like a wet turd live than expected. Give us Monsters, or better still, a song that doesn't follow the same repetitive and lazy formula. Fuck, get Andrew Watt on board if you can't write music anymore, seemed to work for Ozzy. 1

If we continued to get a few new songs and deepcuts every tour, I wouldn’t complain. But I do think they’ve hit a roadblock now and the casuals are going to continue to flee. I really don’t know where the band goes from here.
Popular Post Heather14
Came back from the show with overwhelmed feelings. When they played Perhaps, I thought it was earlier than usual but didn’t expect what would happen next. Axl said “I’m gonna try a new song” and then I literally gasped. It was such a deep emotional song and he put his heart and soul into it. Assuming the lylics are reflecting his childhood, I can imagine that it might have been uncomfortable for him to sing it unless he somehow overcame the past. I may be too emotional, but it was great to see the entire band supported him to play it live for the first time, and Hollywood was indeed the appropriate place. The show was much shorter than yesterday, fair enough, as Axl was clearly burnt out after 1.5 hours or so. Some people behind me even booed at the too-early Paradise City. Poor Axl. He barely sang the chorus but audience sang it instead lol. I took a few days off and bought expensive air tickets just for those shows but now I can say it was worth it. Looking forward to the vinyl in December! Edited November 3, 2023 by Heather14

One last album for a respectful closure. Then Axl can live a happy life cooking with Beta in the kitchen for the rest of his life. Popular Post ZoSoRose
I don’t think he needs to pack it in lol. I just think he needs to change things up. Song lower instead of the weak falsetto all the time. Go down a half step on some songs. That kind of thing. Robert Plant was younger than Axl at the last Led Zeppelin concert and they down tuned some songs. It’s totally fine

Lethalis
So here we are... 20 years later, seeing Axl sing The General with Duff and Slash on the stage. Nobody would have believed this 20 years ago lol. 1

Gasps? They take 2024 off and tour in 2025 and they’ll still fill venues around the world no matter what. It’s so strange to be on a message board for fans of a band, and witness some of these angry posters predicting and/or wishing doom and gloom. You should really find something you DO enjoy to follow. It would drastically improve your daily attitude and quality of life.
