Likelihood of tour continuing next year

Recommended Posts

I was thinking AC/DC next year too, but how much shit and fan pushback will Angus get now that Brian is out singing again? I don't think he dropped Brian because of the hearing thing anyway, but with him singing again, the AC/DC crowd will revolt even more!

If I was a gambling man, another tour. When in doubt always bet on more touring with this band. If you regard the new gnr era as something that is bona fide and not as fake as a tranny's fan (as many do) then Guns have been touring since 2009 without album, nor even much of an interlude (2015 excepted). The Team Brazil way is to pile on showsm, saturating the market and killing off the mystique of the product. Never underestimate their abilities to mess things up: they turned what was still a North American arena act into something that could only play in casinos infront of a few drunk tourists and housewives.

It would be odd for them to not hit Europe again, but since the last shedule dates are in LA, who knows. Is it true that slash and duff signed a contract that expires on December 31st?

Its rumoured. But doesnt mean those contracts cant be renewed on jan 1st

Every week the tour lasts longer is a week they aren't thinking about going or actually going into a studio. So I hope it ends this year. Already so sad to see compositions like Battleground not being GNR material, Slash is at his peak right now and they just gotta make an album already, he must have a shitton of riffs laying around from this long ass tour.

if they extend the tour past 2017, they should change it from 'Not in this Lifetime' to 'The Rest of our Lifetime'.

'Leave no $ behind'

South Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Russia, India, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina...

I'd bet on another Euro run at least, but I hope I'm wrong. This tour needs to end ASAP cuz if Axl sounds this bad now, he'll sound like fucking Vince Neil by next year...

Axl doesn't seem to take care of himself during off time so if they stop touring he might look like Vince Neil next year...

Fair enough, but he was heavier in 2016 and sounded better, I'd take Axl looking like a whale and sounding like himself over Axl looking like his younger self and sounding like Vince Neil....

let's be honest what us fans think would be the logical decision for guns to do which is new album, logic doesn't apply to team carnavale.

that said what they will do is

last show in November

contracts for slash duff expire at midnight on the last show

dvd released with troubador show or best shows from tour like maiden did with the somewhere back in time dvd.

cd of best shows from tour released with the possibility of 1 new song.

axldc new album. Wonder who will be on bass considering cliff has retired.

acdc new album and tour will take a good 2 years.

skmc new album and tour will take a good 18 months.

guns to reconvene late 2020 at the earliest for final album or final tour before retiring gnr.

I think the fans over in Europe, Asia, and Oceania deserve a second leg of the tour if the Americas each got one.

Then they can kick off whatever tour promotes their next album in Europe or Asia. Wrap up the NITL tour and either put out an album and tour that, or preferably, go do side projects for the next 2 years (meaning Axl/DC, meaning Axl gives a fuck about his performances again).

A new record would take them like 2 or 3 years to do, though, assuming they'd even do one.

Bingo.

This silly band left hundreds of millions on the table by breaking up for 20+ years. I'm sure Duff has reminded the others that this is the best chance they have to make some of that lost income back.

It would be insane for them to not tour through Europe and Asia again. They could fill stadiums there till they retire. North America is really the only market where they've maxed out interest. If they aren't touring overseas next year, they're leaving a veritable fortune on the table.

Duff and Slash are road warriors who would be only too happy to tour another year. The only wild card here is Axl and whether his voice can survive another leg of the tour.
