So, the shit we were putting together was crazy. We were going ‘OK what sample should we find for Axl? Well he’s sort of like Julius Ceasar’ so we were trying to sample stuff that reflected that. We were looking for old school, crazy shit and I think we sampled Ben-Hur, chopped it up, cut it up and that became a jam, I think we called it ‘Seven’."  (Brain Interview)

Interestingly, Ben Hur was filmed in Circus Maximus so it's likely that is that song.

Down by The Ocean:

"In '95, Duff and me recorded songs for the band. We made a tape that went nowhere. Then, a couple of months ago I have a message on my answering machine: 'Yo! It's Axl, I need a copy of the songs that you did.' There was one called 'Down by the Ocean' or 'Down by the Sea', they may have used it, I haven't come back to know nothing." This became 'Goodbye' by Saivu (which was a collaberation of Richard Fortus and Norwegian musician Lásse Kvernmo), so likely untouched by Rose and passed on to Richard.

 

I think it should be obvious to anyone that PRL, Moustache, Zodiac, Tonto, Real Doll dot com, Billionaire, Dub Suplex, Devious Bastard, Dummy, D-Tune, Curly Shuffle, The Rebel etc were submitted by Brain, Bucket, Robin etc and completely untouched by Rose.

Nov 26 is also the day after Thanksgiving aka Black Friday (the biggest shopping day of the year). That would be a great release day for a new album. Get everyone hyped up about it beforehand then release on Black Friday.

28 songs doesn't fit on one CD. Perhaps on two. And don't forget the Making of Estranged video: "Part 4 of the trilogy". Maybe there are two parts of the trilogy this time.

Marco Belrami said none of the songs he worked on had Vocals.

Axl played Oklamona for Rolling Stone - it had no vocal.

 

Wasn’t the only instrumental that had No Vocals beside it on the Village Discs Zodiac? The rest of them just said Instrumental right? Makes me think there is a version of Zodiac out there with Vocals

I was talking to someone I know in LA who's involved with music stuff out there and he told me that they have a bunch of songs done but he doesn't know if they're going to do an actual album or not. Make of that what you will.

That said, I am a lot more optimistic about a new album happening now than I have been since 2016.

My disdain for that individual is no secret, but anyone in the know now realizes what he is.

It makes the old posts he made on this very site (publicly viewable) take on a different perspective in hindsight.

So all the people thinking I'm deluded for suggesting KOHD is on the album, there was some basis behind it.

 

So either you're all right and he has an albums worth of songs ready to go.

Or I'm right and if a new album surfaces, it will be scraped together with the stuff he's already got, like Silkworms, OMG, Atlas, Perhaps, General, Hardskool, KOTH and other covers and Duff songs.
