steelestar Posted October 2, 2023 Share Posted October 2, 2023 We were in the stadium overlooking the field awaiting early entry and the sound/mix during the SC was simply dreadful. But I imagine that is what SCs are for. There must be a curfew - I’m guessing 11. Hoping Guns hits the stage no later than 7:45 and we get a 3hr+ 30+ song set. Significantly more excited than when the tour was first announced - I mean that in the best possible way - best shows since 2016. Was really suprised at how on it Axl was, I don't know how well it translated on video but in person Axl's voice in general really sounded present and powerful for most of the show with his higher range dipping in volume way less compared to Glastonbury IMO Street of Dreams was a nice suprise, as was Maddy and Coma which was a beast tonight too For those on the fence, GNR in 2023 is still one hell of a show and very enjoyable live. It's like they fully embraced who they are and are having a lot of fun doing what they do.
