The version Buckethead and Robin Finck would have recorded in 2000whatever would have been so much better!25 points

It's not a true Guns N' Roses song without Frank Ferrer on the drums. Hard pass.20 points

A book is forever, a podcast or tv show is not. An autobiography would be for the fans who would gladly invest some time into reading it, instead of having a podcast on in the background or watching a tv show after work. Some things are worth your time. I would be devastated if they split tomorrow. Well, maybe devastated is a strong word, but I would be very sad at least. I still enjoy the shows, as do many, many people.14 points

https://www.officialaxlrose.com/ this is operated by Live Nation and himself or someone else has added it to his Twitter bio though so I would say it’s legit13 points

Hello, I searched for a thread about GNR related tattoos and couldn't find it... So, if you have any and want to share yours, here it is I just got mine done, I've been wanting it for a long long time12 points

Of course not everyone will know who he is, but he's more than 'broken into the mainstream from time to time'. Being at the oscars doesn't mean much, but he's played the superbowl, was the face of a massively successful video game (Guitar Hero), played with everyone from Eazy E to Michael Jackson to Lemmy. He's literally the 'classic rock guitar player' halloween costume lol, his look is even more iconic than the music he's played. I could go on, but if there's any guitar player that's managed to keep their pop culture relevance as high as other (older) pop stars, it's Slash.12 points

10 bucks says this will literally never be updated again or lead to anything. Axl starts projects, probably does put serious work on them, and then does nothing with them or it fails to materialize. This is a pattern of over 20 years and until proven otherwise I will assume nothing will change.12 points

I would be disappointed. I broke my foot three days before the GNR show at MetLife. I didn't have the chance to see them last year. Additionally, seeing GNR is my enjoyment. When you work for a high pressure company and have to deal with some other stress, you want to do things that bring you enjoyment. Eventually GNR will cease to exist. Why would any fan want to rush the inevitable? Go to the concert and enjoy the music. There will come a day where either you or GNR will not be able to do so.11 points

Axl Rose is 62 years old. It's fucking insane reading ya'll say shit like "years later" in regards to when GnR will get around to new music .... It's like there's no self awareness that this dude is 62 years old and has had a declining vocal capability for years now ... I swear some of you don't recognize the fact that this isn't 40 year old Axl from 2002 anymore ...11 points

This dude is pretty good at making "studio" sounding tracks and NO he doesn't use AI! This shows what a cool little ditty WL could be on an EP .... Loving this 💜11 points

Too bad he didn't predict that there would only be one more Guns n' Roses studio album after UYI (2 if you count TSI) so that fans could have been prepared.11 points

On my way home from the show and I have to say it was A LOT better than I expected. Band was great (Myles included, even though I’m usually not his biggest fan). The crowd seemed very into it although the older songs were received better than the 4 stuff. Slash was awesome! My favorites were Driving Rain, Back from Cali, Starlight, Dr Alibi, Bad Apples, WOF and Rocket man. I’d definitely go and see them again.11 points

I think they should have done it, if there is any way to make Axl Rose's current live voice seem much better in the eyes of many it is having it side-by-side with Vince Neil's current voice which is way worse11 points

Does the fact that it's Live Nation tell us more? I mean, could it be tequila or a book then? Or would it always be music related? No, it's a smart pun, Axl rose to fame9 points

Has a gallery and a news section. This could be me being hopeful & it's obviously a huge stretch but if he now has a separate site to GN'R it makes me wonder if he has plans to do anything else separately9 points

This comment from Youtube lol: @Nitromessiah 7 hours ago This is one of the worst version of this classic song I've ever heard. Slash wrote 1-3 great licks, and has made an entire career off of it. He's just average at best, but he looks cool doing it.9 points

The production value on both songs we have heard so far is orders of magnitude better than anything I have heard from Slash since WOF or from GNR since the early 90's. I wish someone could get Axl locked in a room and force him to listen to how well produced this new Slash stuff is and ask him how on earth he isn't ashamed to put the GNR name on the last batch of songs they have been releasing. Kudos to Slash on this project though as it feels fresh and dynamic despite being an album of cover songs. He clearly didn't mail it in and just slap his name on it as something to release to keep his name out there. I think my favorite thing about him is that regardless of what genre he is playing he manages to kind of fit in yet still sounds like himself and how you expect Slash to sound. When he played with Michael Jackson even I marveled at that how it was still clearly Slash but not Slash at all if that makes sense. I think he could make a killer southern rock style album with a guy like Chris Stapleton based on how good this song sounds.9 points

What the fuck. That was perfect. An absolute demonstration of Force, Power and being the Guitar God. I'm a bit lost for words. Anybody who says that Slash has lost "it" should go and suck whatever he or she wants to suck.9 points

Hope you enjoyed dude!! Totally...people who are lazy enough not to do 3 clicks, don't deserve the right to feel pissed....as the two fans walking back in the Glasgow rain were on a full on Glaswegian rant that only a Glaswegian can do "I THOUGHT HE WAS FUCKIN GLAD TO BE BACK IN GUNS N ROSES...TURNING HIS BACK ON THE MATERIAL THAT MADE HIM FUCKING SLASH....IM TWEETING HIM FOR A FUCKIN REFUND. CUNT" 😆9 points

I should really venture to this part of the forum more often... I did Birmingham, Manchester, and London. Had an amazing time! Got a pick in Manchester and a setlist in London! Here are some photos I took: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5bLyQWIoKL/?igsh=MXJoODI3aHB6OXJ58 points

Went last night. Have never been into his Conspirators albums but decided to check it out in case he did any Snakepit songs - he didn't. So that's my only disappointment. Otherwise was a good set. I'm unfamiliar with most of the albums but it all came across very well and I even found myself taking note of some of the tunes to look up later. Don't Damn Me was brilliant. I don't like Myles as a frontman. He's super nice and polite and I'm sure he's a lovely guy but a frontman he is not. Not for Slash. He's devoid of energy and charisma and I find he struggles to project his vocal. Most times his body language and the way he carries himself is totally at odds with the song he is singing. Tod is much better - no problems with projection, has brilliant stage presence, really fires the crowd up. The crowd was pretty energetic, I thought. Slash was on form as usual, always an absolute privilege to see him. Several times I found myself completely awestruck by him, not even thinking of pulling out a phone to film or anything, and everyone else around me wasn't filming so I guess we were all feeling the same way! Glad I went. Forgot to add: he came on earlier than I thought he would! 8:30! I can't remember the last time I saw an artist come on at that time. I was lucky I got there in time!8 points
