I think back then it was just lights out, then Tom screaming the intro, right?

Yes, that is my recollection of the shows I saw in 91 and 92.

I do remember a cartoon being shown at the end, do you remember that?

Not the usual Hanna Barbera type, more of a grown up one, maybe only in '91

I did not remember it until the other poster put it up and that jogged a memory.  Lots of beers since 1991 ;)

There were always pre show boobies prior to the lights going out too! Those were the days...

Yes...and in 91 at Deer Creek we got to see the entirety of Evil Dead between Skid Row and Guns on the first night and Evil Dead 2 the second night.

I miss McBob, not the same without him to introduce the show.

McBob still does intros. Or at least they played McBob's intro in Louisville.

Yeah, I think he only missed the last leg because he wasn't there for personal reasons.

Since 2018 they use a recording of McBob's intro. IMO it's way better when he does a "live" introduction.

He did introduce the band at the first show of this leg in Hollywood though, but that was because they didn't have video screens so they didn't play the intro video with mcbob's recorded voice

I was in Melbourne when he called us Sydney   That was a bit of an issue. 80000 people booing at the start of a concert isn't ideal!

Is it prerecorded?  Part of the animation thingy?

That was the intro in São Paulo/2010 concert. It was veeeery cool, and maybe the only time they did it since UYI tour (?). Curious enough, they played that same stadium in 2016, one day after the annoucement of Leonard's death, and used the song as outro.

It doesn't make sense, but I still find this funny like I did back in 91. Thanks for posting this.

Everybody Knows was sick as intro @ the 2010 concert. People around me was asking if Axl was singing that song

As far as I know, no. But I guess it could be. I heard McBob right before the band took the stage. Not during the animated video.
