What is the future of Guns N Roses 2024 onwards?

Recommended Posts

Slash performs with his band SMKC between March/April 2024 almost set to be at Qualistage in Barra da Tijuca, Brazil.

One year off?

new album?

Clearly no member will get younger with each passing year..

How much time was lost on that reunion tour, with the point of view in the future?

- festivals in europe

- two new songs (same marketing as Absurd / Hard Skool

Towards the end of this year Perhaps and maybe the general come out. The release is botched because the Cd's and records are ready 3 months after the songs go to streaming, Creative Works London videos go up on youtube for both songs. Slash has reworked solo's @Sweersa head exploads.

People tour with solo projects when GN'R is off the road, Axl hibernates like an owl & perhaps wakes up and sits at a piano to see if he can come up with something. After several months comes up with part of a bridge or intro that will probably never be used.

When solo projects finish touring Slash brings in 47 songs to play Axl of which he likes 3 or 4. Duff Brings in 28 songs and Axl likes 2. Those songs push anything Richard has like Tonto of the next reccord but he says nothing.

Slash buys a snakeskin covered metronome for Frank as a guesture of good will.

To tide over the fanbase Berlin is released along with Atlas Shrugged with Brian Mays parts removed and instead a solo made up of parts by Gary Sunshine, Buckethead, Paul Huge Robin Fink and John 5 is used. Slash cries in media about how he was not informed of Paul Huges involvement, Both songs are actually delayed for 2 years and 3 months as somebody forgets to pay Caram.

Slash get frustrated at the lack of progress and leaves. He goes on to state in the media "All things considered, it's like playing with Guns to stadiums is not fun in the grand scheme of things, so i'm just going to play clubs & it will like $2 per ticket" The media falls in love with him again because he seems more grounded to the common working class man. He then creates a pinball machine that retails for $34,000. The media ignore this.

Traci Guns rejoins.

Ronnie wood has a baby with Melissa Reece.

and so forth...

I quite liked Goldstein's idea of having a Rose Festival. Make it a one or two day event, have all former band members there to do solo sets (eg Izzy, Bucket, Tommy) then GNR headline and rotate guests on a few songs. Doubt this would happen but would be cool for fans.

Hell yeah. I would love to see Tracii on songs like Anything Goes, Back off Bitch or Don't Cry (songs he played live with them while he was in the band).

Duff has his new solo album out in October, my guess is that he will tour smaller venues in support of it. We’ve already heard about Slash going back out on the road with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. I don’t really picture GN’R releasing a new album late in 2023, and then waiting until summer 2024 to tour in support of it.

Probably just one or two new songs like in 2021.

it's just going to be GNR touring then Slash and Duff tour with their bands.  Repeat.

so many missed business opportunities for GNR.  no new songs.   no releasing the uyi tour videos on netflix or even on nightrain (where members can pay a monthly subscription fee for unreleased shows, songs, videos of Axls cats, etc) .  No writing one new tune with the AFD5 with proceeds going to charity.  No Paul Huge interview on Eddie Trunk.

just more touring and more mickey.  Maybe Axl makes a new celebrity friend and we will have the Will Smith join GNR on stage for paradise city, which then will follow with GNR covering "gettin jiggy with it" for the next 7 legs of the tour.

if we are lucky Dizzy leaves his basement unlocked and a cleaning lady releases the 417 CDs he's got of unreleased music.

- Neverending touring

- Same production. No themes, just skeletons of the three guys

- Vague comments about new music that don't mean anything

- Fernando saying random stuff on Reddit or to some fans in real life.

- Just a few random songs being released out of nowhere with no music video, no advertisement, no interviews, no comments from the band about them. Slash vaguely mentioning them when asked about them while advertising his 26th Conspirators album.

- More covers from the most random songs you could ever imagine

- 32 new solo albums from Slash, Duff, Dizzy and even Beta.

- Axl tweeting random stuff while writting like a teenager from the early 2000s

- Band rehearsing unreleased songs for a loooooong time until debuting them live. Or not even debuting anything.

- Axl not rehearsing and being out of sync on many songs

- Absolute silence from Axl about why would he record over 60 songs and not release any of them 15 years after.

- Axl hitting some high notes and losing his breath in the next verses but still not needing to do any rehearsing.

- Slash noodling nonsense instead of playing the most basic riffs.

- More and more neverending Slash solo spots.

- Social media posts being taken down by TB while still not releasing anything

- Cheap quality merchandise with the worst fabric you could ever imagine.

- Emails about Summer/Autumn/Fall clothing collections out now!

- More skeletons

- F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N' F'N'!!!!!!

Don’t forget Axl being in a good mood

Can you imagine a PITS Weekend like Dead & Co and Phish do? A weekend in Cancun of all things GNR related.. I don’t dislike that idea. This works well with Dead/Phish because each band has like 400 songs to chose from and as GNR doesn’t, showcasing band side projects us actually.. a cool idea!

They will eventually release the UYI footage, Slash obviously is aware of its existence and cares about it - it was one of the main contributing factors to the band reestablishing communications. I'm sure that any of the streaming platforms would love to do business with the band regarding this project.

I think besides what everybody else has said - endless touring - we will probably see short legs with either Stinson or any other ex-nu GNR member, I would find hard to believe that in the next 10 years ALL members are able to go on tour without anyone getting injured (Fortus actually had a big accident recently and was in risk of not being able to even play guitar again). So that's something that will at least be a topic of discussion.

Axl's autobiography, that's another thing that's already written (but not edited) that will for sure be an interesting read.

A GNR version of CrueFest would be awesome - do a 2 hour show with 4-5 younger bands opening for them. A GNR show with openers like Dirty Honey, Sometimes Y, Ayron Jones, Cleopatrick, Mammoth WVH etc. would be the fastest I've bought a ticket in a long time... do a European run with Maneskin, The Cruel Intentions, The Struts, VOLA, it'd be fucking awesome.

Like he's some mentally ill fucked up person they care about that they just wish gets better

Historically, being an meathead asshole is 80% of his public image and the other 20% is exactly this lol. These days it's closer to 50/50 between those two views of Axl, which explains the increase in those types of comments. The sudden flip in some people's opinion of him since the reunion is a little jarring though.
