I would imagine that it would be extremely hard on Axl to release this song since it is very vulnerable and personal. And sing it live, I would add. 3 1

For me it only works as a follow on to the general. I love the general but find monsters a bit repetitive after a while. Really like it but mainly as a whole song combined. Monsters could be half as long and I'd be happy. I prefer Monsters due to its low vocals and the bridge rasp. However, I agree that it works better as a follow up to The General. Listening to both of them together is better than either of them individually. This is clearly as it was intended, since it is basically one overarching song and they complement each other. Ratam
I think it abuse subjet is more appropiate to book, and isn't very appropiate like subjet to one song.
jamillos
It's around six am here, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around this fucking thing. Yes, I should have gone to sleep... but didn't. Is that a Bon Jovi track I'm hearing?
Bucketdude_666
Also the drums sound very different from The General to the Monsters part, super different eq and snare sound.
ZoSoRose
I am thinking The General is not the final version. Hoping it sounds a lot better with a final mix if that’s the case

I think it's our most Black Sabbath moment. Sang it on a Christmas eve. Imo the meanest section of anything I've sung to date. Which having said that I'm sure when it's heard others may disagree but we felt it was a Christmas card of unadulterated venom so to speak. I felt a lot better afterward. (Axl Rose , Here Today... Jakey Styley
Chills The General is basically every bit as good as I hoped. I did expect a killer solo though. I never doubt Axl's songwriting. Even the dumb shit he writes like Eye on You is good to me. I think I might try to put these away until December. The mix/quality on Monsters is pretty rough to me,

Gordon Comstock
It definitely could be Soul Monster. At this point I don't care what the working title was, it's fucking great. I'm gonna go smoke a bowl and listen to these songs another couple times.
Jakey Styley
One thing I'll say - assuming these were ripped from a vinyl - they sound fairly far from being complete, like so far that it's surprising they were ever placed on a vinyl?
