Some how liked the song more while watching the video. There's a slighly dated sound to the song, something Iron Maiden like?

Yeah anyone who hasn't seen this... well they should... see it! Out ta get me!

Damn that was good..

It's funny... listening to this instrumental cover makes it sound like something I could see on UYI... maybe its just me. It almost sounds like Down on the Farm in that one part.

I'm just as excited to hear the album as I was before hearing the single. I think it was just decent, but Slash's solo and outro hint at a certain approach I have not heard since the AFD/Illusions/Snakepit days. I mean, it still sounds like AL which I am not a fan of, but even that style is a good place for Slash to feel comfotable to play that way after one album already behind the band.

All you people talking shit about that girl sound like idiots.. She definately isn't ugly. Guaranteed she is prettiet than most of your wives or gf's. If you even have one...

definately

prettiet

That instrumental cover is great...it's a shame Myles had to fuck up what could have been a great song with his generic lyrics and mediocre/annoying vocals.

Slash's guitar sound is good, lyrics are completely horrible.

JUST TRIP THE WIRE :rofl-lol:

Guest Gunns

Were the lyrics inspired from a bad 80s action movie? Jesus, talk about uninspired lyrics, the music has potential but myles and the lyrics let it down.

Thx so Slash rip off the main riff from DOTF and make a new song out of it...

I just want to take a moment and praise Slash's solo, after just working on learning it on guitar. It's the sort of spazz out solo I love from him. There are licks that aren't played on any particular time with the song but somehow catch right in at the right moments, almost rabid studdering into a crescendo of a classic blues lick which then ends on a tire burning skid of descending high note bends topped with his patented 12th fret B and G string bend.

Outside of the soaring classic solos of November rain, estranged, and don't cry, these nothing held back spazz out solos are my favorite from Slash. Completely fits the pace of the song.

Good for you man!!

You must be a savage guitar player. I completely agree with you; Slash rides the beat sometimes and appears to drift off time only to catch the beat perfectly again. He plays solos like Frank Sinatra sang, riffing over the back beat almost to the point of clashing but swooping back into time at the last millisecond.

That's a skill you're born with that cannot be learned.

They played Out Ta Get Me at one of the shows I saw a few years ago, it was awesome. Have you listened to their version of Jungle? Also really good

Man.... I want to see Slash when he comes to Vancouver in August but the venue sounds so god damn lame.

Last time he came it was right downtown at the Commodore Ballroom which is a sweet club venue. This time its at the Hard Rock Casino off in a neighboring district. Same capacity and it's almost sold out... but still... I have a weird reluctance to see a show at a casino.

Haha... I dunno I just associate it with hokey nostalgia bands past their prime like REO speedwagon, Tom Jones or Loverboy etc haha. Not sure if the vibe would be something I'd like. I think its just a personal bias :).

Not high expectations for the album, not low too,i mean we all know who is slash and what's his sound all over the years,a sound recognizable, sometimes generic, with good and bad moments.I liked myles voice in the single, powefull without annoying high notes screaming this time, hoping to be the same in the rest of the album.
