EvanG
Wilco - Summerteeth One of my favourites. I usually don't like overproduced records, but every layer on this record adds something.

Len Cnut
Ordered Calypso by Harry Belafonte off of ebay right, the fuckin' cunts went and sent me like, some old compliation of Harry Belafonte singing Calypso songs that ain't the actual album that he did in the 50s called Calypso. Were it not for the fact that I only paid like 3 quid I'd be annoyed. The upside is its actually got all the songs off the album Calypso bar one plus a fuckload of others, ain't actually played it to see if its actually like, THE versions though. Its sort of like buying a Little Richard greatest hits, you never know if its THE version of Long Tall Sally or Lucille etc cuz he recorded that shit several times. I have a Johnny Cash album like that, consisting of re-recorded versions of his classic stuff.

Richard always puts a shift in but you can just tell it ain't him at his on fire mid 50s peak. That guy is near on uncoverable, he's just so good, so powerful, that he blows any attempt to cover him out of the water. I mean there are bands that I love that have covered his stuff and they are good little tunes in and of themselves but in comparison they are not even close, even when its a gargantuan band like The Beatles.
