If the allegations are true, it's awful and he should be subject to the same legal process and outcome as any other sex offender, but supporters of independence don't really have anything to justify in terms if their political stance. Supporters of the SNP perhaps, (I'm a supporter of the Scottish Green Party), but even then, these allegations only came to light a couple of days ago and he's not an SNP Member of Parliament nor a Member of the Scottish Parliament, he's just a private citizen now. Also, what the fuck did I do to deserve comparison to a sex offender? Seems a bit harsh...
DieselDaisy
Got to give him credit: the only thing I envisioned Salmond assaulting hitherto was double haddock and chips.

And he wanted to stop the Scotish government from going public. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-45295578
DieselDaisy
Salmond would have just probably blamed England for his spaghetti hands.
AtariLegend
Primark in Victoria square burning down in Belfast today is a bit bizarre. Not really politics related, but everyone in this part of the country will notice it. Hopefully some one didn't do, because of the DUP complaining about a LGBT stand or whatever in the window. Even though it's a bit crap of a store, it's at the center of everything. Edited August 28, 2018 by AtariLegend

DieselDaisy
I have a problem with our modern big cities, London, Birmingham, Newcastle. Their high streets are all reconfiguration on the same theme, Starbucks, Marks, John Lewis, WH Smiths, etc. A British high street is basically an AC/DC album. You get the exact same thing except it has merely been slightly rearranged. They all have drunken/druggy areas and outskirts with horrendous grey tower blocks. None are especially aesthetically pleasing unless you flee to the public parks - even Birmingham had a public park somewhere apparently?
