Oh my god as it was released is awesome. We don't need an already released song taking up release space now lol..

Although Axl has been working on it for years so wouldn't surprise me if it does end up coming out.

We might not.

He definitely needs stuff to 'fill release space' with.

Never understood the love for Oh My God. Can't imagine Slash or Duff turn this into something good.

Me neither.  It was a song with some decent parts and cool ideas, at the time, but, it was on the verge of being outdated, even in 1999.

Maybe it stands a chance of being seen as retro, if it ever gets released again.

I think I'm gonna try to rearrange the song as I think Slash would do and record it. Let's see how it goes.

The mix was so poor which i could never understand, was it supposed to be like that? Even a rough mix shouldn't sound like that, the drums turned down and muffled. Very strange.

Yeah, agreed. It's not like Absurd or Hard Skool at all (which have their own issues, especially overuse of compression), and even the Village demos are better mixed. It's like they forgot to actually mike the drums, the snare is almost inexistent.

I’m hoping Oh My God isn’t on a new album. I’m sick of that song honestly. You can add 100 layers to it, it’s a fine song, but it reeks of age nowadays and it would just be a waste. Just let the 99 version be and move on.

I feel Buckethead's guitars really amped up that song, and Axl's cleaner vocals helped too in the leak that also had Bumble's guitar in the one channel. I'd love to hear an all-Bucket version.

The only remedy for my disease is CD1 and CD2 with Buckethead's parts fully intact. Everyone knows this is the way it should be.

Then, and only then, will I be truly happy with my ears.

I absolutely love OMG.  I think it's such a fun song to listen to, but the last thing I want is Slash and Duff working on it and releasing it. We already have an official release of it.  Work on stuff that hasn't been officially released

I foresee the re-worked version with Slash and Duff to have far too loud of guitar tracks in the mix. Hopefully they use Brain's drums, and keep some of the Bucket leads.

Yeah I agree... what's the point in re-recording old tracks??? OMG is fine as it is.

Maybe nookie from a fellow Buckethead fanatic?  That would be incredible.

Hahaha! A Sweersa Tinder profle suggestion:

"I live alone and really enjoy the creative works of ginger singer with cornrows and a guitarist who wears a yellow rain coat, a white Michael Myres mask, who uses a puppet to talk, whilst wearing an upside down KFC bucket on his head, and who lives in a chicken coop watching porn. I like to post about their brief time together. A lot. On a fan forum. I also enjoy extreme horticulture, brocoli, knavel fluff collecting, and taxidermy. I also enjoy KFC food. Swipe right for a finger lickin' good night."

How's that possible? You never gave me that impression.

I regularly tell my girlfriend (who I'm growing my hair out for) that the end goal is for me to have 2006 Axl hair when it's long enough :) She also says with me, all roads end with Guns N' Roses. She put up with me sending her the Village songs and also likes Hard Skool. Yes, she's a keeper. :D

I forgot to mention, one of her favorite GN'R songs is IRS, which happens to be one I don't like very much.

Kind of incredible to hold someone down on an opinion they had 25 years ago. Imagine if something you did now contracticted what you said that long ago, and then somebody says to you "but 25 years ago you said.." I think you wouldn't appreciate that either. I'm glad people aren't holding me down to what I said that long ago. Fuck I have barely been on this planet longer than the amount of time that passed since Duff had that opinion.

Wait what?! You’re saying people can actually change in 30 years ?

Seems unlikely surely? As we well know, once one adopts a position on anything, one must steadfastly stick to said position come hell or high water! 😀

I think Slash and Duff will sleaze it up, although Axl publicly said Duff showed no interest in the song when it was presented to him at the time so it's kinda sad that it looks like Duff has caved in and worked on it.

Axl also said either him or Slash would die before a GNR reunion, so needless to say words are not always what the future will hold lol

Well that's a valid point certainly!

Yeah honestly I can't imagine what else could be added to enhance that song - especially considering it was actually one of the only songs to be released around the time frame it was recorded in and didn't have to wait over a decade lol.  At least songs like State of Grace, Perhaps, etc. have not already been released
