I was hoping that we would hear live versions of Coma, Locomotive, Breakdown, Garden of Eden, etc. But here are only songs that we have heard many times before.

Locomotive was only played a few times in total, and none of those shows are represented in any of the releases.

IIRC, Breakdown was never performed live so there was zero chance of that. Not even sure GoE was ever performed live during that era either.

Honestly I think the original version of NR is perfect as is, but if Axl wants to fuck with it that’s fine as long as he doesn’t pull a George Lucas and try to erase the original version from existence. Looking forward to the other bonus content (including the Blu-ray). Shame the 5.1 audio got rejected. Hopefully it’ll leak someday.

Aside from that this actually looks pretty decent imo.

It's funny because on the Live Era/Tokyo recording Gilby comes in at the wrong time in the intro, and here we have another instance of the guitars being totally off in the intro. So both official live recordings have botched intros. Somehow it feels fitting for this band!

Nice to have what'll feel like more a proper "Live Era" as it should have been.

Breakdown was performed live in December of 1991 and Garden Of Eden was performed in Austin, TX on February 23, 1993. I was at the Austin show and almost shit an X-Mas tree when Garden Of Eden was performed INSTEAD of Mr. Brownstone. THOSE were THE DAYS to be a GNR fan! In 2022, not so much...

They should leave original NR on there and include the new one as a bonus. Looking at it it looks like they are replacing the original album version with this updated 2021 one

Yeah - that would have probably been better. It will be interesting to hear though.

I just looked at the vinyl versions and see that TB stole my idea of using the UYI color schemes on different pieces of the school of athens painting (like my old avatar).

I was hoping the deluxe vinyl editions would do this too but looks like standard black according to the pics.
