I find them a bit jarring myself 😬 Other than that I’ve always quite liked the demo, the chorus in particular is pretty epic. He seemed to record vocals in bursts, years apart, so he definitely could've gone back to Perhaps, SOG, Atlas, etc in 04, 06, 07... but I expect only the vocals we've already heard will be on the single. Amir Posted August 8, 2023 Share Posted August 8, 2023 There are some vocal parts on ChiDem the album that were likely added between '06-'08 for songs that were recorded years before: - the high-pitched vocals during the verses on the title track - the additional lyrics on the outro SoD ("that's one more failure...") - the super low voice on TWAT ("wrong time...") It is also the only 'hey hey' played in soundcheck as a backing track, so maybe they have shifted that 'hey hey' specifically (or even others) from the primary vocal level to the backing vocals instead. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
