Popular Post Tourettes2400
The Collection: Slash, Deluxe Edition from Gibson Publishing Gibson Publishing, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, is the next major step from Gibson Brands, contributing to the evolution of collaborative artist partnerships and promoting music and music-related topics to fans worldwide. As with the recently launched Gibson Records, the first project for Gibson Publishing is a collaboration with Gibson Global Brand Ambassador and rock legend, Slash. Launching simultaneously with the Slash episode of Gibson TV’s popular series of the same name, The Collection: Slash is a premium coffee table book that explores in unprecedented detail the instruments Slash has used on countless hit records on stages worldwide, in front of millions of adoring fans. While Slash’s association with the Gibson Les Paul™ is well known, Les Pauls are only part of the story. Over the years, Slash has amassed a staggering collection of about 400 instruments, from holy grail vintage pieces to prototype Gibson signature models to guitars made by B.C. Rich®, Guild®, boutique acoustic luthiers, and plenty more besides. Launching initially in North America only, The Collection: Slash is available to pre-order in Custom and Deluxe editions from August 25th via Gibson.com. The Deluxe Edition of The Collection: Slash is presented in a slipcase and measures 240 x 340 mm (9.45 x 13.39”). It includes a cover poster, four guitar art prints, and a certificate of authenticity. The initial print run of the Deluxe Edition is hand-signed by Slash and is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide. Over 300 pages in length, The Collection: Slash is lavishly illustrated with numerous photos of the guitarist and his impressive guitar collection, shot by the Gibson team andlegendary rock photographer Ross Halfin, whose relationship with Slash extends back to an early Guns N’ Roses portrait session from 1986. Accompanying the imagery will be insights drawn from brand new, exclusive interviews with Slash himself. Written and edited by Gibson editor-in-chief Chris Vinnicombe, The Collection: Slash is a must-have for both Slash fans and those who admire fine guitars. Gibson Publishing is committed to sustainable and environmentally conscious publishing and uses FSC-certified and recycled materials wherever possible. Stay tuned for additional exciting releases from Gibson Publishing in the coming months, including print publications celebrating milestones, brand stories, artist collaborations, and more. ACDC8
Just got their email. Would love to get that book, but $999 USD is a bit too much. Was getting the other one but they don't ship to anywhere outside the US apparently... "thanks" Gibson.
Chester 524
yeah one book is $999 and the other is 250 bucks. kind of alot for a coffee table book of guitars i suck at playing. I'll pass on this one.
Tourettes2400
It was badass seeing all these guitars! Gibson did a good job with this. I really want one of the books but not for $1k or $250. It does look like a cool book though. Hopefully there will be a reasonably priced unsigned one available after the initial run. I just feel like I have enough signed Slash memorabilia. Who am I kidding, if the price was $100-$200, I would probably buy one, lol. DoMw94
Loved the documentary, wish a basic, lower priced version of the book was available though. I'd be all over it if they offered a third option 1 hour ago, ACDC8 said: Was getting the other one but they don't ship to anywhere outside the US apparently... "thanks" Gibson. Just in case you didn't spot this: "For immediate international pre-sale orders call the Gibson Garage at +1 (615) 933-6000. Online international orders forthcoming. Quantities reserved"
guitarpatch
Great video. Both signed packages are ridiculously priced though. I have enough Slash signed stuff and a few Slash guitars. I’m good I’ll wait for a non auto book

Ak1nney
I bought each of Jimmy Page's books and the Led Zeppelin book that are comparable and they were about $60 each. Amazing content and quality. This is hilariously overpriced. Edit: I didn't notice they were signed. That's more understandable for the cheaper one. swirkh
Who cares about the overpriced book. Don't like it, don't buy it. But I must say this is the most relaxed, comfortable Slash I've ever seen in an interview. Good job Gibson. Such a treat for guitar nerds.

That's the thing with Gibson, the people that balk about the money, are 100% NOT the target market for these. Could say that about their guitars too.
Tourettes2400
I am having a hard time NOT purchasing a preorder for this, lol. I am going to the Gibson Garage this weekend and then I will probably decide to order one.

I would never buy another Gibson again now, way too much money for what you'll get. Edited August 26, 2022 by El Guapo
ZoSoRose
I got Geddy Lee's bass book. For $100 I got to meet him and have him sign it. It is a really nice book. I wouldn't mind this, but $250 is steep, even if its signed. Oh well!

allwaystired
If you want it, give it a few months and you'll probably pick it up cheap. Doesn't seem especially limited to me, in terms of how many people would buy this sort of thing.

WhazUp
I wish there was a cheaper option available, hell even the price for the novelty of it getting signed is really up there! Actually getting to meet Slash briefly during his 2008 signing at a local Guitar Center cost nothing except a wait in line and I got both Reckless Road and his autiobiography signed by him during that, for example Looks like a cool book though. This video is a really interesting watch as well Edited August 26, 2022 by WhazUp
axlvai
Im listen the video... and i got a surprise when Slash said he re-recorded KOHD post UYI. This interview had some very cool stuff.
