I would like to see the stats either way, like I said though I would contend a huge percentage of tickets on this tour regardless are gonna be bought by people who either have no idea about a different show in a different city being postponed in a one-off way, or folks who are unbothered by it

Maybe not, but it would seem to make sense to mention what kind of illness is being dealt with and the typical recovery time considering there are a bunch of upcoming shows. Not a big deal I guess but that was my intended point 🤷‍♂️

if it isn’t Axl that’s sick, it’ll be Slash and/or maaaaaaybeeeeee Duff. No other reason other than a steel (the stage build itself) issue would shut this moneytrain down.

Rarely do bands and artists give details when shows get postponed or cancelled due to health issues. They just don't have to. Look at the RHCP announcement last year, for example:

No one is entitled to that information. Postponing a show of this magnitude is a costly endeavor—a decision not made lightly. While a band member's personal issue is the cause of this situation, the band does not need to give specific medical details to the public. You are wrong.

Yes, that was his choice. However, other artists choose to not to provide detailed explanation, so GN'R is not unique to that.

Never said anyone is entitled. Just seems like it would be wise to be as transparent as possible as it could affect shows that are literally days away. Done debating about it.

Well, a lot of bands don't provide the specific information about the reason of cancelling. I had an experience in July in Budapest when Hollywood Vampires got cancelled an hour before the show time. A lot of fans have already been at the venue, some people were waiting the whole day at the sun, when the statement about cancellation came and it was only "due to unforeseen circumstances" thing. I was sad but I felt more sorry for diehards who were there the whole day.

In this particular case they provided information a day before the show, told that this is because of the illness and IMO it is ok if they don't want to say who is sick or what kind of illness it is.

Had floor tickets for the show tomorrow, I'm not sure why everyone is so upset. There have been reports for the last week that Axl was sick . They announced as an official statement more than 24 Hours in advance that it is postponed. Disappointing sure but we shouldn't expect the band to play not feeling well.

These are humans like you and I and clearly they wouldn't cancel unless someone was seriously ill.  Everyone in the band outside of Melissa is at an older age and it could be something serious.  Have a heart and fuck off

He cancelled dates earlier in the tour and he wasn’t named as the person who was ill.
