If that was happening in previous song then I think they were quite right to pause the show to get it sorted properly. Overall, I really enjoyed it and G'n'R still fucking rock. Easily one of the best shows I've been to (mind you, I'm in mid 40s and been to a lot of them ). This may have something to do with getting an early entry and spending the entire show on the barrier :), but still. I though the sound was fantastic, although, again, I was right in front of the stage the entire time. Entry system was obviously botched, but, to be fair, it hasn't made that much difference - basically, I spent extra 2 hours sitting by the stadium's entrance instead of hanging on the field. I paid extra to watch GNR from the barrier and basically got what I paid for. One definite positive of last night show was the security crew, which stayed on high alert throughout the show and was instantly pulling out any troublemakers at the first sight of trouble. That's a BIG plus compared to Olympic stadium in 2017, where golden circle was invaded by drunk assholes, pushing people around, and security couldn't care less. The talk about people leaving because of the bad sound is pure BS - both the pitch and the stands remained jam packed throughout. I also wish they had time for Monroe on stage, but hey-hoe - perhaps the Saturday show is luckier. Duff's lady is an absolute bomb, and she kept exchanging winks with him throughout the show. A few times he came up close to her and exchanged some words with a smile. Slash's GF kept filming on her camera, I guess she streamed it to her Instagram. There was another model-like woman who stayed further back and kept dancing during the show - really tall, long legs, short skirt, metallic silver backpack. AndyM Posted July 2, 2022 Share Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) I was stood near the sound desk, it sounded pretty clear to me. Axl was great on most songs, but did struggle with some of higher notes. Not too disappointed about the shorter set as they still played nearly 2.5 hours, and I've heard coma and YCBM before. She was a model after all. They seem like a very happy couple. Wish Axl would find a special lady or maybe he has and is keeping it quiet.
