Stay.Of.Execution
I know we've seen this a million times, but I found this one interesting especially cause the author seems to be a big fan and knows his shit https://www.metalsucks.net/2022/02/06/all-81-guns-n-roses-songs-ranked-from-worst-to-best/amp
Popular Post RussTCB
A list that didn't originate from Cuban Skies?? This list cannot be trusted. Edited February 7 by RussTCB 2
BillConnor_1982
“ALL” 81 songs. There’s some bands who have box sets with only HIGHLIGHTS of their entire career and it’s more than 81 song’s. Edited February 6 by BillConnor_1982
Popular Post ShadowOfTheWave
Fuck the ITW hate. It's a great song.
Popular Post Jw224
ITW is a nice track indeed, great vocals and one of the few songs on the final album that doesn't sound off when it comes to mixing.
Pele
ITW is absolute garbage, and deserves it's place on this list. Who remembers 1999-2002, when we were hearings stories of all these mythical songs that sounded like Led Zeppelin meets Queen with a bit of Nine Inch Nails etc.... Turns out, it was a collection of about 19 songs - that contained absolute turds such as If the World, Oh My God, Shacklers Revenge, Riad, Scraped, Silkworms, Catcher in the Rye, Atlas Shrugged, and absolute mediocrity such as IRS, Prostitute and Chinese Democracy, Perhaps, HardSkool etc. The biggest waste of time, musicians and studios ever. 1
LandOla
One in a million the second worst GNR song, what the hell. It's in my top ten. The lyrics and all.

smokingarthur
Why the fuck was my response in the thread removed? Truly fucking pathetic. The English language is now being weaponized against us to create an ever growing list of words, and phrases that are not allowed. Bravo, I commend you, you must feel great about yourself. -W.A.R-
Absurd or Scraped are far too high. He seems to really disfavor covers that didn't really add anything or measure up to the original however i would much prefer listen to something like Raw Power to those songs.

StrangerInThisTown
“Scraped” is undeniably kick-ass lol
StrangerInThisTown
One of the better lists though because the guy writing it really is a longtime fan, anyone who "gets" Bad Apples knows what he's talking about in my book. I forgot how good Right Next Door To Hell is, fuck that's a good song. Don't agree with Garden Of Eden being better than The Garden though. Shotgun Blues is also way too low, but I gotta say it took me years for that song to suddenly click. I love it now. Towelie
I love this description of Shacklers: It’s a fairly weird mix of funk (those fat Buckethead riffs), country (the bridge), disco (also the bridge), rock (the chorus), nu-metal (all the weird screechy guitar parts), torturing R2-D2 (the guitar solo), and the grunts of men rowing an old Viking ship in unison (also the guitar solo). 2
Rayno
Now this is interesting. The author writes: 45. “You Ain’t the First,” Use Your Illusion I (1991) Are you listening, Fred Durst? This is how you write a gross song about heartlessly discarding a sexual partner. Side note: I’m not 100% sure who yells “To the bar!” at the end (Duff maybe?), but I’ve always loved that they left it in there. I believe Duff is the one answering to this whereas Slash is the one yelling "To the bar!" What do you think?

His voice is way different to Slash.

I have never stated such a thing, you blockhead. It was YOU who stated it after having read Chinese Whispers, initially erroneously claiming it came from a quote from Beavan in a RS interview, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, the claim in Chinese Whispers is without a source, so we don't know where it came from.

I've quoted you because "Chinese Whispers" it's freakin' awesome and A4D needs to learn a lot for that. Only for that, take it easy. Someday you will be great too!

If you thought you could sling mud at Blackstar and that I would let it pass, then that's another entry to the long list of mistakes you've made. Ironically not a list you have actually typed out yet, but ever-growing. When it comes to the history section at A4D then all that's good about it is thanks to Blackstar. Her immense work at digging up articles and connecting the dots, is a huge immediate value to every fan and elevates our collective knowledge of the band, and will undoubtedly be a huge resource to authors writing books and documentaries about the band in the future, thus helping to make them better and more accurate. I think everybody appreciates her work and her insightful posts - she is a huge asset to us as a fan community. When it comes to writing the band's history over at A4D, then all mistakes and sloppiness and inelegant prose is my fault and my alone. She should have all the praise for what is good and none of the criticism for what isn't. I also find it hysterical that a guy who has a total net negative contribution to the fan community, because of a deranged incapability of sorting fact from fiction and a pathological obsession of making lists, would even dare suggest Blackstar should up her game. Again, your criticism is based on a false premise but still ostentatious. Now fuck off. Edited February 8 by SoulMonster
Nicklord
I enjoyed reading that. It seemed like somebody actually put thought and heart into the list and not just slightly mixed order of the most famous songs
