There's literally too much wrong with your comment for me to bother to correct. If it bothers you so much just avoid it.

Your comment is a joke. Moving on.

Trump? Is that you?

We knew they weren't gonna post full shows, though. :shrugs:

I honestly expected them to just post It's So Easy for the first video, so 3 songs isn't bad. Yes, bands like Metallica are posting full shows... but they also regularly change up their setlist. If GNR posted multiple NITL shows we'd complain that they keep posting basically the same show. If they keep posting a few songs from various gigs until we have a 'full show', I'm happy with that.

That’s a good point, yeah. What would help is if GnR posted different shows from different eras, but they don’t seem comfortable with doing that (not right now, at least).

Metallica has thought out, monetized and hired people to handle their catalog of shows over the last decade. To think GNR can get something up and running similar in less than a month is a bit short sighted and simply not fair to compare. Apples and oranges

It’s the first time they’ve done this. Let’s see what happens. If people respond well, maybe they will look into putting some more thought behind it. They certainly aren’t afraid of $

That’s a good point as well. Metallica were doing this long before the virus was even a thing, hence why they have the most consistent output out of all the bands in this post-virus world.

I’m glad GNR did something but this is some VGA, middle-school, intro-to-video editing type of video. It’s difficult to believe this comes from a professional source. It’s unfortunate that this band continues to meet our lowest expectations and sets the bar on low expectations.

A thought that just occurred to me:

the three songs from yesterday were each from a different album. Maybe we can expect that for each of these videos going forward? Could be a cool way to make things feel a bit more “varied,” I suppose.

Either way, it feels good to finally have something slightly different to be talking about, for once!

btw, does anyone know how many songs were played on the NITL tour? I’m counting 36 songs in total from the studio albums. And then of course you have stuff like SOYL and Slither and then all of the non-album covers they did. I’m guessing that must all add up to like 45 songs in total, right? That’s at least 15 weeks worth of these videos (assuming they keep it to a weekly basis).

Yeah, just enjoy it for what it is. If you can't, that's fine too. I can't imagine all the energy people waste on getting disappointed over and over again. Well, some people thrive on that of course.

It's funny how people who enjoyed this, are being labeled as easy to please, low standards and pretending as if everything is okay, while the critics of course only have valid criticism  We're all on a GNR forum, no need to be arrogant about other posters' taste.

apparently i'm be easy to please, because liked it.

Guys, all the long shots were intentional. They just wanted to provide the same experience as all the cell phone videos recorded from the rafters that were painstakingly removed from YouTube!

Take your rose covered glasses off imo Matt sounds very lethargic here.  Its sounds messy  and its all over the place given they were all drunk out of their minds and on the last show of the tour

This guy thinks this epic '93 performance is "messy" but loves the 2019 performance :question:

That sounded like a lumbering snarling beast putting Argentina up against a wall. In the best way.

and your problem with that is?????

A performance where a band is playing while drunk, stoned out of their minds and at each others throats at the end of a  long tour  is not going to be as good as a sober band that actually knows what they are doing and have no issues with each other.

Slash can barley keep up with Matt in that video

Fernando is going to look on here and say, ''well I gave them lot on mygnr exactly what they want and they're still fuckin' moaning'' haha. I am certainly no fan of the guy who seems preoccupied with embarrassing merchandising and acting like the wanker, but it seems sadomasochist in the extreme to utterly crucify the one occasion when he does produce something from the archives. Alright alright, it is fleeting (only three songs) and flawed but - as they say where I come from - ''it is better than nowt''. Slash is good at least. It ticks along. It is an enjoyable way to spend 15 mins under lockdown at least. It isn't the Ritz  - it isn't even the Tokyo VHS - but I have seen far worse performances.

Slash screwing up Jungle in St Louis  1991 for one lol

Dodger Stadium was such a great show - and with an added Steven Adler appearance I have been wanting to relive that show ever since I heard rumors of it being recorded :headbang:

I think I am a bit immune to Slash's mistakes. I actually would go as far to say I enjoy them. It is all part of his loose organic rock n' roll style. I see people criticising him here and think, ''who do they expect, Steve Vai?''.

I think they do. Anyway everyone should like what they want
