Attendance wasn’t great but it went from maybe 50 to 60 percent by the time the sun went down. I do think this is their last stadium trek, maybe a new record could do it for one last stadium trek. Not because it would light the world on fire, but it could get GNR in the public mind a bit more

Why is that? I thought an audience filmed video of a song thats been released was fair game in most places on the internet? I could understand if it's an unreleased song played live. Not a big deal, just curious. My apologies for posting it.

My apologies for posting it. This explains it a bit further. Back in 2019 we had numerous complaints against us for copyrighted material so we were forced to put this rule in place or risk having the forum shutdown. This includes fan videos from shows sadly. billsguy
Also I don't think handing tickets out at a casino and still not filling means much. The average Sunday lunchtime casino visitor is most definitely not a guns n roses fan. You couldn't pay those people to go. The show was low in attendance because this was the third date for the show, covid is flaring significantly and mask mandates are a possibility, and because it's a Sunday night show.

This was low selling in attendance like the other shows b/c Guns N Roses isn't an act that can move ticktets in stadiums like this at the prices they are charging in anyplace other than the largest markets (in the US at least). Stop saying it's bc of covid or being a Sunday or any other BS excuses you want to come up with.

Well leading up to the Irish date I didn't know a single person with a ticket. Considering they played in 2017 to over 70000 and everybody and anybody was getting tickets, that's a big turn around... and that was before corona. The pandemic might have saved them from a very embarrassing year on the road. It is time for gnr to roll a tiny bit of press out (Axl interview) and a more popular single. Their popularity has dipped a bit, maybe they would prefer to go back to arenas at this stage though! I'd prefer to see them in a smaller venue!

ZoSoRose
Hard Skool should be out this year at some point, maybe that’ll generate some interest. It’s way more access than Absurd Edited August 9, 2021 by ZoSoRose 2

They are just excuses for the facts. Did a few people not go b/c it's a Sunday...sure. Did a few people not go b/c of COVID..sure. But, other shows by other bands are selling well.. This tour is over-priced and in venues that this band cannot possibly expect to fill having toured in almost every market they are playing since 2016 with only a single that just came out. "because Covid", "people that go to the casino aren't GN'R fans" and "it was a Sunday are all laughable attempts to justify low turn out / ticket sales. The actual fact is that everyone who wanted to see this tour already saw it, several times. Been there done that, extremely high ticket prices and a lack of a reason to still be interested are the actual reasons for the turn out. 3 1
GoodOlJohnnyK
Ticket prices mainly, for me. I love this show - seen it three times already and would gladly see it again. They’re coming to Baltimore next month and, at these rates, I just can’t justify spending that amount of money for it.

If my shows were selling this bad I'd rather invite actual fans or hand out any leftover tickets to homeless people to make their day a little better instead of having the venue flushing value down the toilet by offering free tickets to people who are not even interested at all. I actually agree with all of this too. They would do great at 5000 seat places as a nostalgia act for the rest of their lives. Or make the tickets more reasonable as someone else said. All of the acts like the stones, Springsteen, Billy Joel, Elton John that get 250 or more for a premium ticket have hits but have still put out music even if it's not their best. GNR could comfortably play in arenas from now on. Stadiums are too big, now. 2016 had the reunion buzz, but that has long worn off. 2
Pedrolg
Good that everybody had a blast. Axl does look to be in great shape and very excited do perform. Sadly, from what I heard, he is still struggling a lot with his voice. Better than Hershey, but still pretty attrocious.

Based on reviews and what footage there is it’s a lot better than atrocious….although the actual live performance of the song Better could be labelled atrocious 🤣.
