Axl is the CENTER of Guns N'Roses, shouldn't the Axl Skull be on the MIDDLE of the cross and not on the RIGHT side of the cross? ๐คจ๐ง๐คA longer time Guns N'Roses Poster replied something like,"Duff's BLONDE hair didn't tip you off that that's DUFF on the RIGHT side of the Appetite For Destruction Album Cross? Axl has red hair, not blonde. " I responded,"I read that only Axl wore a bandana in Guns N'Roses, so naturally, I thought that Duff who is wearing the bandana was Axl. Besides, the red headed skull is wearing a black cap, not a bandana, so you can see why I thought Axl was the skull on the outside of the Cross. The Poster replied something like,"Axl wore a black cap quite a lot. And this picture of Duff wearing a red bandana should clear up any confusion for you." He linked to a picture of Duff wearing a red bandana and I thanked him and told him it did clear up my confusion and he welcomed me. ๐ ย Due to my music stations usually ONLY playing Sweet Child Of Mine, I honestly thought that Guns N'Roses was a one hit wonder. Guns N'Roses were being hailed as one of the most influential Rock Bands of all time, and I thought,"How are Guns N'Roses one of the most influential Rock Bands of all time? Guns N'Roses is a one hit wonder, and only have Sweet Child Of Mine!"๐ง๐คจ๐ค Sweet Child Of Mine is a REALLY good song, but still, it's Guns N'Roses ONLY hit!" ๐คฃ ย A Music Channel played Welcome To The Jungle one day, and I thought,"God, the singer of Welcome To The Jungle is completely ripping off the Sweet Child Of Mine Singer! He plagiarized his dance moves, his singing style, his clothing style, he even plagiarized his look!ย The Sweet Child Of Mine Singer should sue The Welcome To The Jungle Singer for Plagiarism!" I went on a music Forum ranting about The Welcome To The Jungle Singer plagiarizing the Sweet Child Of Mine Singer and saying,"I hope the Sweet Child Of Mine Singer sues the Welcome To The Jungle Singer!" Posters were like,"The Welcome To The Jungle Singer and the Sweet Child Of Mine Singer are the SAME man, you IDIOT!" And that's how I found out that Guns N'Roses were NOT a one hit wonder..๐คฃ ย ย Nice comeback Karice. Powerful as always. UncleJosh
GN'R is a legacy act to me. New music doesn't really interest me at this point. The version of Nightrain from Rock AM Ring 2006 is probably my favorite version of the song and has not been performed or sounded better since then IMO. At least not in any soundboards or broadcasts I have heard. There could be other lesser quality audience recordings of a better performance somewhere but those don't count for me as I won't listen to them regularly. Popular Post The Garden of Guns N Roses
I thought the Axl/DC thing was more exciting than the reunion back then. Still appreciate the fact that Slash and Duff are back though and I was able to see them live a couple of times I just enjoyed seeing Axl doing something completely different with AC/DC for a while and proving a lot of people wrong. 4

He sounds more like James Hetfield than Axl Rose! ๐คฃ๐ To me, Axl Rose= Paradise City, Sweet Child Of Mine, Welcome To The Jungle. ยฉGnrPersia
1. I wish reunion would never happen. Axl had to keep 2002 or 2006 band running and making more albums with them. 2. Axl/DC was more exciting than the reunion. 3. I genuinely don't like WTTJ. Never understood it. For me it's down there with stuff like My World and Shotgun Blues 4. Also SCOM. It's a shit song. Its live is even worst. Boring as KOHD live. 4. 1993 is my favorite old GNR era. Estranged and The Garden are the best old GNR songs. 5. The Spaghetti Incident is cool. Hair of the Dog and Buick Mackane are nice tracks.ย Edited July 19, 2023 by ยฉGnrPersia 3
Popular Post BingBing
When I was 12-years old, way back in 1992 [insert despairing tears here] my obsession with GNR achieved a new level of cringe. Myself and a mate purchased bandanas and some cheap, knock off aviators and thought we looked the shit. Henceforth went into our tiny little village, rolling in thinking we were true rock n' roll stars. Suffice to say the looks we received were interesting to say the least, not to mention the looks from the old ladies on the bus. We did contemplate the cycling shorts but thankfully sensibility kicked in. Suffice to say and from that day onward we stuck to our GNR 'Bad Apples' t-shirts and toned it down. My dad still brings this up on a regular basis like parents do when they want to embarrass you 30-years later.ย Yesterday, holds nothing for me!ย Will always remember the time we jumped on our bikes too (in 1993) and cycled for five miles to the Milton Keynes Bowl just to sit outside in the pouring rain and listen to our heroes. It was like the rock version of The Goonies. Utter bliss!ย Edited July 19, 2023 by BingBing 3 2
Cosmo
Just remembered this one: Back in 2004 I was only slightly aware of GnR. I basically only knew WTTJ, SCOM and PC, and knew who Slash and Axl were. Then one day I'm skipping channels on TV and I see Velvet Revolver's Dirty Little Thing on MTV. So I think "what?! No way, man... this is beyond ridiculous, this guy's dressed just like Slash from GnR! WTF is this?" and I tell my friends from school the next day like "Man, I saw this band on MTV and the guitar player was dressed up as Slash lol" and they were like "what band was it?" and I said I didn't know the name. Some months passed and my friend introduced me to Fall To Pieces. I googled Velvet Revolver and saw that was really Slash. I never told him which band I was talking about that dayย

Voodoochild
I like Paul Tobias. He brought some very cool and original ideas to the songs. And he played just fine live. I think people bought too much of the personal feelings from Slash/Matt and whoever about the stuff with Paul.ย I blocked Ashba's existence from my mind. I have PTSD.ย The most exciting time to be a GNR fan to me was back in 2006, when the band was on fire, Axl's voice was awesome and we had the first good quality leaks to listen to, hoping for a new album still in that year. It's really sad to see how many missed opportunities Axl had over the last three decades.
