Although that number continues to drop as a majority were sold on release day. So the Best Buy deal guaranteed platinum regardless of how many people actually went to Best Buy and bought the album.So in 2009 CD reached platinum because of Best Buy's pre orders but it actually sold now, 6 years later, 1 million copies?
