I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s wrong on the year. 89 would still be AFD era IMO so wouldn’t surprise me if that’s just a mistake.

Special guest performance by Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon. Axl mentions how the chorus to 'Right Next Door To Hell' was written about his next door neighbor. Slash says they are filming the video for 'You Could Be Mine' for the new Terminator 2 movie. After 'You Could Be Mine,' Axl asks the crowd, "Have you ever heard the expression break a leg? Well, I think I just did." Axl actually injures his heel and is forced to wear a brace on it for the first few weeks of the UYI tour. Before 'Don't Cry,' Axl says how Shannon's band was covering the song a few years back. 'Welcome To The Jungle' is dedicated to the 3rd Street Hell's Angels. rocknroll41
Yeah he probably meant Vegas 1992 and just had a Freudian slip or something. Argentina 1993 would also be cool, to bring it all “full circle.” Edited December 13, 2021 by rocknroll41
AxlRoseCDII
Hoping they play PTU and a few other deepcuts live to celebrate next year. Maybe Breakdown?
rocknroll41
Did Slash randomly bring up the UYI boxset all on his own? Or did the interviewer ask about it first?

axlslash
Excellent - the new release nobody asked for everyone has been waiting for! #ChineseDemocracy2 #LegendOfTheRedPanda #StayOfExecution #MusicWeAlreadyHave starts now! 3

rocknroll41
I think another thing to take into account is the fact that slash basically confirmed here that this boxset was supposed to come out THIS year but got delayed thanks to the pandemic. That pretty much confirms that the HS/Absurd maxi-single thing was cobbled together at the last minute and that no new album actually exists. I hope I’m wrong, tho… Edited December 13, 2021 by rocknroll41
Sausagebrain
Hooray - another 31st anniversary boxset! Seriously though - I loved the UYI years in all of their twisted, overblown glory. I'd be completely 'in' for a big box set. (Just hope they go easy on the replica merch, yeah?)

guitarpatch
Gonna guess we’ll be seeing Ain’t Goin Down on the set list and as the single for this. Live shows outside of Tokyo would be great. Even better if it’s less than $400
ryanf23
Really wish the Perfect Crime film would come out. Or a complete 8-3-91 Inglewood show. But, I’ll be over the moon happy with ritz 91 or Vegas 92. and as others have said, please do not be overpriced.

WhazUp
It is cool to get confirmation it is actually in the works, AND that live material is on it. It isn't "new" stuff so I think we can all bank on it coming out lol

k12
There is no way they don’t read these boards, and I can't imagine there is going to be a big demand for this boxset so I hope they keep that in mind when they make it and make the price Edited December 13, 2021 by k12
