Popular Post t-p-d-a
has anybody information about the music video? Was it even released on TV? It has alot of unseen footages with Axl's red hand orthosis during Patience, YCBM (Las Vegas 92?), and some known scenes from St. Louis 91, Argentina 92 and Argentina 93. Even unknown shots like this: This is not from Argentina 93, because he wears a Blue bandana in Argentina! And Duff McKagan had early 1993 hair (bright blond long hair) and the venue must be small, like a arena. (Same camera setup like in Saskatoon 1993). It must be before the Skin N' Bones Tour. Maybe somebody can help me, which conert it is back to the music video: I can't link the video because it's not official by GN'Rs YouTube channel Some information apears on the beginning of the video "Welcome To The Jungle" live Earthquake Productions Director: Jeff Richter 11/03/99 Would be cool to have more information about the Music Video Edited February 2 by t-p-d-a

Popular Post Blackstar
Yes, it's official, one of the two music videos for Live Era. Guns N' Roses Return To The Jungle Guns N' Roses will be issuing a new video version of its hit, "Welcome To The Jungle," in conjunction with the release of the original band's live album due out late this month. GN'R manager Doug Goldstein says that the video is expected to make its debut on MTV's Total Request Live on Tuesday (November 9). The live album, Live Era: '87 -- '93, is now scheduled to drop on Nov. 30 on Interscope/Geffen/A&M Records. The new video includes performance footage of the band interspersed with news events of the '90s. "It's very 'end of the Millennium' based," says Goldstein. "Waco, Columbine, Nike shoes, Rodney King… anything newsworthy." A video for "It's So Easy" was shipped to MTV late last month and has been aired intermittently by the network. That release was a mildly modified version of an old but rarely seen video shot at the Cathouse in Los Angeles in 1988, with original footage of ex-wives and naked women replaced with still photos from a Robert John Guns N' Roses photo book. As for releasing a second video so soon after the first, Goldstein says: "We just decided to put out another video, the idea came along, (video director) Jeff Richter did a great job cutting it, and we went for it." https://www.a-4-d.com/t4564-1999-11-09-rolling-stone-guns-n-roses-return-to-the-jungle The footage from St. Louis is by Robert John, as well as most likely the rest of the live footage. 5
Rovim
always liked the WTTJ Live Era music video. The fast paced editing, sometimes taking its cue from the drums makes some sections of it punishing and it did a good job framing the music with the '90's chaos and world events, the violence as well. I agree some aspects of it look cheap, but I still come back to it, it has its own vibe imo. 3
Popular Post EvanG
I think they became more a 'cool' band again at the time of this video. In the 90's GnR weren't very 'cool' anymore, depending on who you asked of course, especially after the so-called ''grunge'' explosion, but I think that even people who laughed at them circa 1992-1996, admitted by 1999 what a great band they were, and the cool live shots definitely helped. Popular Post D4NNY
I had a St Louis “welcome to the riot show” bootleg dvd back in 2005ish and this and YCBM were bonus videos on it, I remember replaying that part where that jet plows into the ground and my 14 year old mind was absolutely blown.. no pun intended! Also love the little part before the solo with the news report that Axl lost his shit and caused a riot 😂 Really made me believe this band truly was crazy and dangerous! One last thought, I think the clip of challenger explosion is a subtle little nod at Axls original idea for the AFD artwork 👏🏼 Edited February 2 by DustNBones1990

Popular Post Nintari
The thing I remember most about that video was the fact that when TRL was still a thing, it wasn't even available to vote for on MTV's website. You had the usual Back Street Boys/N' Sync/Eminem stuff to choose from, but no GNR, despite it being a brand-new video at the time. But there was a write-in box. So when word got out on the GNRonline.com forums, we all got together and spammed the hell out of that write-in box. I'm talking a few hundred people, constantly voting for the same video (you were allowed unlimited submissions), over and over and over again for like eight hours straight. The next day, when TRL came on, and Carson Daily was about to announce the number one video, I can remember seeing the confusion (and joy) on his face when he announced that it was Welcome to the Jungle by Guns 'N Roses. I had been glued to my TV like someone waiting to find out if they had won the lottery, and after he said those words, I started jumping up and down like a lunatic and screaming. We had beaten the boy bands. We had won. Edited February 2 by Nintari 10 3

mystery
This is something I never knew about and by late 1998 traditional rock music videos were all but dead on MTV. It was all about rap, teeny bopper stuff, and nu-metal. Edited February 2 by mystery

Yeah, before Nirvana I think GNR changed the face of rock music back in 88. They were heavy rock and not like the previous hair bands. And they lived that life too. I remember seeing it during a Headbanger's Ball and since Axl teased his hair up very high I thought it was another hair band, but not they weren't.

I missed the MTV and Music on TV time because i was young. I have a bootleg with Music Videos from Mr. Brownstone and My Michelle (both from Director Mark Racco), It's So Easy, You Could Be Mine (without T2 scenes), Bad Apples (before it was even released on YT) and both Live Era Music Videos from WTTJ and It's So Easy. Some are wasn't on TV like Mark Raccos Videos. It's a valid question. Don't be a troublemaker.

Popular Post jamillos
1999 surely was exciting. I mean, years of silence with no internet. And then suddenly: - End of Days containing Oh My God soundtrack, a brand new song! Didn't even know properly who was in the band back then. - Live Era, a great 2 CD of the old gang (didn't know about the studio/mixing shenanigans, wouldn't have cared anyway) - WTTJ video - ISE video - Sweet Child O' Mine in a different version (Big Daddy or whatsitsname) - Axl giving interviews; news about the band, promises of things to come (- And what we didn't know back then: constant major work on the CD material in the background) All this in one goddamn year. I was 15 in 1999 and really starting to get into GnR and I just ate all of that up. It was very exciting indeed. I spent a lot KD time on the GnR message boards in my mid to late teens. It just felt like big things were coming. I remember watching the debut of the live era WTTJ video on MTV. It was really cool at the time since it was the first GNR video I ever seen premiered and Live Era was the first GnR album I ever got at launch. Just good memories
