Appetite for Destruction Remastered General Thread

Recommended Posts

More sense (and exciting ) would have thought that the best meeting in the history of rock is coming, because on the page of www.gnr.fm as you may have seen, there is a map with a lot of purple dots in several cities and the 5 members

World tour with Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven? A SUPER DELUXE EDITION of a remaster of AFD? Most likely, yes. :headbang:

So they've managed to tour the past two years with a hybrid line up and have become the 4th all time tour fooling people every night?

no, they played GNR songs and thats why people spent zillions of dollars to go watch them

besides, they had 3 out of 5 original menbers and 2 of these members are the ones that 1) have always been the "frontmen" of GNR in videos and onstage even after GNR imploded in 1991 and 2) they are responsible for the melody lines of all GNR songs (vocal lines and guitar solos) and thats what most people are able to "recognize" in a song

99% of the people cant tell the difference between izzy/adler and the session musicians replacing them

but try and put someone else singing and 99% will tell you in a heartbeat that "this is not GNR"

no one can duplicate a human voice, specially the best human voice ever put to tape.

rhythm parts are, in a sense, more "replicable" because basically no one notices the difference

axl, slash and duff know that and know they can get away with anyone playing izzy and steven parts because they know 99% of the people wont care

The hybrid lineup includes 3 original members, out of 5. That IS the catch.

and the setlist is basicaly two-hour of GNR songs including all their hit songs -- this is what people are paying to see, these songs played by axl and slash

then you have an extra hour of axl rose solo songs that... yeah... enough said about those!

Fuck! It's happening!

Im guessing disc 1 is the album, disc 2 and 3 are demos, and disc 4 is a DVD with a concert and a doc.

thats what im hoping for, at least. It would be awesome if disc 3 at least was new shit, but I know better than to expect that.
