The presenter of the festival was interviewed and he had a funny anecdote about Axl. Apparently, he was quite paranoid in these days and he even had a stand-in. So there were two Axls walking around and only his crew and security knew who the real Axl was. The festival security wasn't allowed in and had to miss the show because of that. They watched from the side regardless and when the band got off stage, one of the guys called out: 'Hey Axl!' Axl turned around and all 40 security guys gave him the finger There's also something about Axl asking for black towels to be put on the floor all the way to the stage for him and demanding a special type of fish which they only had in top restaurants. Then when the fish arrived, the manager asked for it to be thrown in the air. I would imagine late 2001 in to 2002 when the last real bulk of recording happened.
