Design a new GNR setlist for 2023 that could be catered towards Axl's baritone vocal style.

Try to keep it somewhat realistic, they will obviously have to keep the hit songs like Sweet Child O' Mine, Jungle, Paradise, etc... but if Axl were to commit to his baritone style (which is so much better than his current falsetto, just look at that Nightrain performance from London) it could re-invent the band and possibly make for a new album.

Figure out a way to either include an acoustic set in middle or mix in more acoustic/semi acoustic songs like-  Your Crazy, OIAM (in these times he'd have to use some alternative lyrics), Look At At Your Game Girl, It's Alright, Dust in Wind, Patience).

Throw the towel in on YCBM.

Lean and mean stripped down setlist - something not unlike the 1993 gigs. I think trimming the fat would make for a tighter show if the setlist is reconfigured. Axl could probably nail this every night. Use the high voice sparingly, get Melissa to do more backing vocals, and there you have it.

1. Pretty Tied Up

2. Mr. Brownstone

3. It's So Easy

4. Live and Let Die

5. Bad Obsession

6. The Garden (or Chinese Democracy)

7. Welcome to the Jungle

8. Used to Love Her

9. You're Crazy (Lies)

10. Attitude (or So Fine)

11. Double Talkin' Jive

12. Civil War

13. You Ain't The First (or Absurd)

14. Don't Cry

15. Slash Solo/Sweet Child O' Mine

16. November Rain

17. Patience

18. Nightrain

Encore:

19. Knockin' On Heaven's Door

20. Paradise City

Something like that I think. Maybe have a spot in the middle for a rarity or two.

Jungle would be the only song in the first 10 songs of the set that requires the higher voice. Everything else could be sung baritone with Melissa doing the high harmony if needed (like on the Pretty Tied Up chorus). At the same time, I think it's a set that would still appeal to both die hards and casuals alike.

He could sing most of the songs in a baritone and it would sound good. Different, but good and better than they sound now.

I actually think a lot of GnR songs would sound good with Axl's baritone voice.

I think SCOM is a natural fit, YCBM would sound cool if he sung it like brownstone, I think even something like Better could work.

Not sure Jungle would but I think most would. And it's been time to change it up unfortunately

I think a 2023 Skin' N' Bones anniversary tour would be great. I think this would be the perfect setlist (taking much consideration from the actual setlists of the tour, as well as the current setlists for the tour)

1. "Welcome To The Jungle" (from Appetite For Destruction) / "It's So Easy" (from Appetite For Destruction) (should alternate every so often)

2. "It's So Easy" (from Appetite For Destruction) / "Garden Of Eden" (from Use Your Illusion I) (ISE if WTTJ is the opener, GOE if ISE is the opener)

3. "Mr. Brownstone" (from Appetite For Destruction)

4. "Chinese Democracy" (from Chinese Democracy)

5. "Double Talkin' Jive" (from Use Your Illusion I)

6. "Welcome To The Jungle" (from Appetite For Destruction) (only if WTTJ is not the opener)

7. "The Garden" (from Use Your Illusion I)

8. "Live And Let Die" (from Use Your Illusion I)

9. "Reckless Life" (from G N' R Lies) / "Shadow Of Your Love" (from Appetite For Destruction) / "Nice Boys" (from G N' R Lies)

10. "Estranged" (from Use Your Illusion II)

11. "Wichita Lineman" (Glen Campbell cover) (acoustic, with the band sitting on couches)

12. "Patience" (from G N' R Lies) (acoustic, with the band sitting on couches)

13. "You're Crazy" (from G N' R Lies) (acoustic, with the band sitting on couches)

14. "Used To Love Her" (from G N' R Lies) (acoustic, with the band sitting on couches)

15. "Pretty Tied Up" (from Use Your Illusion II) / "Bad Obsession" (from Use Your Illusion II)

16. "So Fine" (from Use Your Illusion II) (Duff and Axl duet)

17. "Civil War" (from Use Your Illusion II)

18. "Slash Guitar Solo" (solo)

19. "You Could Be Mine" (from Use Your Illusion II)

20. "November Rain" (from Use Your Illusion I)

21. "Knockin' On Heavens Door" (from Use Your Illusion II)

22. "Nightrain" (from Appetite For Destruction)

ENCORE

23. "Sweet Child O' Mine" (from Appetite For Destruction)

24. "Don't Cry" (from Use Your Illusion I)

25. "Paradise City" (from Appetite For Destruction)

No Tour. Should be over

Yep. This brand has been fried since 2018. It’s only getting worse. Which is a shame because I’ll go back and watch videos from the AC/DC tour and the first summer reunion stadium tour, and it’s just amazing. It’s actually depressing to watch comparing it to now.

It's a damn shame AC/DC (or whomever) hasn't released a DVD or Blu-ray for that tour. I'd pay good money for that. Probably the best live performance I've witnessed. Axl was on fire, unbelievably so.

I hope for 2028 they do another CD tour, and somehow convince Buckethead to join (even if just for the tour, and a bonus song or two in the studio if they are really lucky)

They can play most or all of CD, and some of CD2 and CD3 (assuming we have some or most of those songs officially released by then)

It's not even fun imagining this alternative reality. These guys are going to do what they've been at the past 7yrs.

I also don't really think this low/mid Axl is all that it's cracked up to be. It's BS really. It just doesn't right singing aggressive rock songs with non aggressive vocals. There is a way to do what people are talking about, but in reality it involves changing and rearranging the music. You're crazy is a great example of what I'm talking about, it has no momentum when he doesn't take it up high. Some people like it, but for me it's flat as a pancake. I can imagine a lot of the songs sounded like that... I could be wrong though.
