Axl’s voice is what it is but he gave his absolute all. I was in Chorzów in 2018 and while it was a great show and Axl was in slightly better vocal shape, I liked todays show more. There were less covers and instrumentals too, Axl was a lot more talkative and interactive with audience and man, he took good care of himself. He hasn’t look that slim and good since maybe 2009? And it has it’s results cause he’s running across the stage quite a lot now. All in all, maybe Axl is not a young man with the strongest voice on a planet anymore, but when you see them live, the magic is still there. I had an amazing time. As I was saying about the case of Hard School, the fact that a song is about Slash - and to me HS is obviously about him - doesn't mean it won't/can't be played. Everyone's saying the same things and I'm only confirming... Axl is in absolutely incredible shape and it benefits both his stage performance and his voice. He sounded most of the show good or briliant. Made a mistakes here and there, but you could forgive those as the band sounded really tight and the whole atmosphere of the show was very uplifting. The setlist has also improved as it became less expectable: shuffling the order, skipping songs, more variations and even adding new deep cuts. The highlight was undoubtedly SOD. I think it might have even be one of Axl's best performances of the song... I so did not expect him to sound so good on this one. The 2006 shirt comeback also made me smile and I agree with everyone here he looks much better in this style. And Slash's Ukrainian flag guitar was a powerful gesture. All in all... I was expecting this tour to be the final nail to the coffin for my fanhood of this band. I was really close to stop caring altogether as I am heavily critical about them basically just as everyone on this forum (which is why I fuckin love this place). Teddy was in Melissa's role on the UYI tour, so there's no reason she couldn't play the harmonica. They should absolutely bring that song back.
