mikeman5150
Was listening to IRS and wondered why they haven’t played it in forever. To me, that one sounds more like classic guns than most of the other CD songs. I’d love to hear Slash’s take on it. I know it may be challenging for Axl at this point, but I’d still love to hear it. 1

There's going to be a lot of "Axl's voice" replies in this thread and I have to assume that's correct. It's gotta be too hard for him to pull off these days at a guess.
Mr Mini Mite
I dig IRS, I also think it sounds like classic guns (it's in my top 3 of Chinese). But i don't think Axl can handle it now.
gt72
Not a huge fan of CD but if I had to pick a song that I would choose as my favorite this tune would definitely be it.Maybe like the op pointed out it’s more in line with the classic Guns sound.
agustingloger
The " I bet You think i'm doing this all for My health...." Fucking Rocks! Always loved that songs. All things considered there are a few good songs on Chinese that i like. I.R.S definetly one of them
alangarcianr
Amazing song, but it was hard to pull even for 2010 Axl
cqleonardo
They should've played IRS and The Blues in 2016... Too bad they didn't
Arnuld
I wish but don’t think Axl could do it justice now. Check out his 2006 Rock Am ring performance if you are missing this one live.
Bitchisback
Was blessed to see them perorm it in 2006. Great song, pretty underrated rocker on CD I think. I don't think Axl could do it justice today though. He butchers better and that song has to be a lot easier on him...
ZoSoRose
When was the last one that came up? 2010?
Gordon Comstock
It was a highlight in 2010 but it wouldn't sound good now. Bring back the songs Axl can still sing instead.
ZoSoRose
I like IRS but I’m okay with it staying gone. I’d like this lineup to focus on “new” songs or deep cuts from the old days. They’ve done a lot of ChiDem during the reunion as is. That being said, I’d be happy to personally get TWAT or Catcher at a gig I’m at
surforia
Saw the first ever performance of this back in NYC at Hammerstein. That show was the best vocal performance I’ve ever seen from any performer in any band.
jimisbatman
Not really, imo, I consider it to be the worst CD song, and better left off the setlist. Although am aware some people love it.

Just take a listen to Stuck Inside by Sebastian Bach for confirmation.
estranged_85
in 2016, yes.. but with Axl's weaker voice nowadays, no.. I'm glad i heard the song live in 2006,

metalavenger99
I'm still dreaming for that day to come but yeah, the same, it would destroy Axl's voice.
Stay.Of.Execution
No. Like many CD songs, IRS doesnt click live.
drlaban
It was fine when it leaked 2003 or so, but today. No thanks.
Underhardy
Slash would rip that shit up. That song will always be criminally under rated due to the chorus. Although, it never bothered me. I mean that first verse is just fucking insane, building and building to those killer power chords. Such a rocker
jamillos
It was great in 2006 (Rock am Ring etc.), but as usual, it's all about Axl's voice form. So...

LunsJail
I don’t think it works that well live. There’s not really a sing along chorus or big guitar spot in it. The song kind of meanders and never really gets anywhere IMO. I love a lot of CD but IRS never did much for me.
