I guess Im becoming a bipolar because of GNR lol just a page ago I posted about how id find cool to release Axl ideas with Slash and Duff touches and now my tought is: fuck off, get the AFD 4, a decent singer and release a killer rock n roll album with Izzy and Steven help.

Ian Astbury with Slash/Izzy/Duff/Steven...that would kick ass.

Well... I guess we, the "Hard core, die Hard" Fans are the only ones, that are concernd about the origin of the Material. If slash and duff are finde with the axl (CD leftovers) Material, so should we... It fucking doesnt matter in the end, how old These Songs are or who has the most Credits, as long they are good.

Not me. That's the last thing we need. Original material or nothing.

Same, but as long as it's got killer riffs and such from Slash and is loud and kicks ass, that's ultimately what matters.

This would be  far, far more exciting and interesting than having Slash and Duff throw some generic riffs around Axl's melodies. Axl's material is what pushed the band (especially Slash) to their best - November Rain, Estranged.... I hope Slash adapts to something outside his comfort zone on at least a few songs.

Yea I’d agree with that. I just don’t want Axl to be like “hey I really would like if you play it like bumble did here” I want Slash to have full creative freedom to play it how he feels or thinks it should sound

probably the same random pentatonic noodling as heard on his post-Contraband stuff.

I don't get it....why is cool and fun not know what to do next?

For fucks sake Duff...

Because that's how the boss operates so they have to say it's really cool when we all know that's NOT how Slash and Duff would do it if they were they were in charge, but they're not in charge so...

Despite that I still believe the album quality will be better done Axl's way even if I'm a pensioner by the time it drops!

well, i'm not sure if they are totally fine with the status quo. moneywise, yes. but they are just employees. their gag order, their post-NITL statements, their merch (still no cool shirts and no video stuff) just show that. and when you can read between the lines, slash is mit happy with the drummer.

if they would bring in sorum, this album could make sense. but without sorum/adler...hell no. trust me. even the lack of izzy is difficult enough.

Without Izzy’s tunes and songwriting....... I’ll give it a go but......

It would be great if he sat in few recording sessions with Guns. Kinda like when recorded with the 'The Project'. What's stopping them?

I'm ok with leftovers as long as Slash and Duff are allowed to make adjustments and change things, however I'd also like a release with the NuGnr parts of Buckethead e.c.t

Would like Slash to try and incorporate a 'Fall To Pieces' type track into the next release, always liked the song structure and Slash playing is awesome, as is the solo.

Old, new, I don't care, as long as there's a reworked and final version of "Crash Diet" (The best GNR track by the way), I'm up to anything!

As far as my knowledge goes (or as I understood) Crash Diet was never a GNR Track...or never meant to be used, just like "Sunny lovers day" n' "martyr of the 20th century".

The last Van Halen album proved to me that I can love OLDnew lol

Yep, how you put it is more what I mean when I say "leftovers"

Im perfectly fine with ADKOT approach to a GNR album. Take Axl's best songs, and some stuff from Duff and Slash, rework and rerecord all of it, and it could be a great record

An album of only CD-era tracks would be ideal. Save all the NITL ideas until there's enough for their own album, I don't really want 1 or 2 NITL tracks sprinkled in among 10-12 CD-era tracks.

Theres no way we will get 2 more GNR albums lol. This one is stretching it

Yeah, that's cool news and all but the vagueness is getting so tiring. None of these guys has absolutely no say in what will happen. And they keep trying to make us believe that is the nature of Guns N' Roses and how that's always been the case. Bullshit.

As dysfunctional as the band was they released music and videos. They got shit done. And they were telling fans what they're going to do next. For real. Even though they were drug addicts and Axl was super crazy they managed to release some of the best music in history in the span of a few years.

Now they're all sober and so over the top professional yet the band is supposedly such a roller coaster they're unable to make any predictions. So unpredictable, super duber crazy. The questions are very straightforward but they are not allowed to give an honest answer.

Duff and Slash are complete 'yes' man at this point. In the old days they were also careful with words about Axl but they were not afraid to make fun of him in good spirit or express their disagreement. There was a sense of camaraderie. Now they're just blowing smoke up his ass. Employees, fearful for their job.

Ironically Duff and Slash have become exactly what they refused to be 20 years ago.

I will be ecstatic for any kind of new music. I'll be the first to buy it. But their MO still sucks big time.

And thats why Izzy, Adler, Sorum and Gilby won't get a chance. Axl is super afraid of a situation where he has to deal with a 'band' and different interests. it only worked like that til 93. since the ngnr is axl's property.

You can bet that the second Axl did that, which he won't, Slash would probably be gone.

I think Slash will have full creative freedom. Look how he is changing solos for CD songs live. If Axl has nothing against it, I doubt he will have something againt it in studio

Nice to see that they're working on the CD-era material. I hope that @Nosaj Thing still remembers our bet. If CD-era material will be officially released in some form or another he owes me 1000$

Aside from Izzy, Slash and Duff would be the hardest ones to keep under compete control. Them all getting along and seemingly being in the same page doesn't make them "yes men".
