gnrjanus
Is management working on this or what? Cause the leaks dont seem to stop... Normally at least last times around people went to jail and stuff... This quiet is frightning to these songs. Complete or demos. It shows us that there is a lot of work been done since 1999 on songs we hadn't heard since then or the first live show with the new band. Back then the leaks potentially hurt a forthcoming album, now maybe not as much? And back then it was single persons that could be legally targeted, today it is more messy with leaks seemingly coming from more than one person who are anonymous. Lipfel
Maybe I'm hearing things, but at 2:42 it almost sounds like a bad cut-sound? The track-length matches the ones on the CDs I think, but anyway.

Skwerl got in shit coz what he leaked was intended for release. All this stuff it would seem isnt
El Guapo
It's not a big gun, that's for sure. Just like many CD songs, the foundation just isn't there. I don't hear a good song - in my opinion, this can not be saved by adding stuff etc. They shouldn't bother with Atlas, Silkworms and all that and write new stuff, imo.

I saw some rumours on some GNR fan/news pages that suggested the management were looking for legal recourse in this mess, but honestly, it sounds like a huge shitstorm behind the scenes. There's a couple of words that are just so hard to make out. It sounds like he says, "When it's as wrong and the road gets rough". I think "it's all wrong" makes more sense but it definitely sounds like the word "as" in there. Maybe it's actually "when it goes wrong" there. For that last line, I don't think he says Jesus, there was some cut and pasting going on so it sounds a bit off but I do think the last line is: "Even now I hope you understand." To me, it looks like the leaker/ leakers are being more careful and covering their tracks on this one. It's not like back when we knew it was MSL, or Skwerl leaking them. This time, we can't be sure who the culprit is.

default_
Got it last night but properly listening for the first time now and... Meh. Is this the holy grail? Hardschool works best for me, Atlas is a b-side at best. Edited September 5, 2019 by default_
Gunner55
I picked a good night to work overnight. I like it. I'm not in love with it like I was when I first heard Hardschool, but I really like it. Have a feeling it'll grow more on me after more listens. Some of the transitions sound a little choppy IMO but I'm chalking that up to the fact that it's very early. This is one I'd be curious to hear newer versions for comparisons sake. THELINESMAN
I love this song. I think with a bit more rasp and another solo this could have been a masterpiece like Estranged. The lyrics are great and the tempo. Brian May's solo really lifts the whole thing as well. 1

It's just the only song at this point we've heard parts of instead of just a title. Just on the Rough Mixes 1-4 cd's were like 15-20 more songs that we only know by title without having ever heard a single note.

Gibbo
Not bad for a demo could be a bit heavy but add a bit of and it could be killer. Stay tuned 😁 2
Popular Post ZoSoRose
Intro is my favorite part. The keyboard sounds rad I like the song, but like Hard School, wish it had another vocal part to change it up. Hearing the one frankensteined Brian May luck is pretty funny (it's a good sounding lick) . I think full rasp would have really helped this song on particular. I cant brlieve after all these years we have this song. Amazing
