dontdamnmeuyi2015
There were talks from the mayor governor and President Trump all about the virus. Let's hope they were all doing their best to keep most of us healthy. One doctor said if we continue to test and stay home if you are ill, the virus might be gone in a couple of months. Honestly, how do they know? Someone from South Korea said most of their people tested negative for the virus but have other illness like the flu. How do we know they are telling the truth? Texas is keeping schools closed so they can clean them more thoroughly. Hope it works. Also I've gotten emails from stores and supermarkets saying how they are doing their best to keep the virus at bay and keeping their people and us safe. Stay well. jamillos
I just saw about 4 minutes of Trump and his group talking to the public. Man. I can't wrap my head around it. How is this guy still a president? I have never seen such amounts of brainwashing, stupidity, and blatant "They Live" than this.

Being sorta F’n drunk, all I can say is that the thing with DT is that... he literally didn’t "turn out to be" anything, did he. The whole point of his was that he was blatant about everything since the get-go, and there’s no way anyone would go "wow, wait, what? This is crazy!" afterwards. You knew the deal right off, and you either went for it or you didn’t. And this - what I just saw - is seriously disturbing. Not that it's new to me ... but ridiculous manipulation is strong with this one. I’m saying this as an unbiased, non-native speaker.

downzy
Germany authorized $600 billion to help businesses manage the economic fallout. This will likely require at least a trillion dollars or more by the federal government to save the US economy.

Thanks for asking. Same as I have for the last couple days. It’s more inline with feeling hungover more than anything else, other than a slight elevation in temperature. The likelihood is I’m probably dealing with something else as the symptoms are very mild. But I have read that many people who have confirmed cases experience very similar mild symptoms; some on that cruise ship anchored off of Japan who contracted COVID didn’t exhibit any signs or felt any worse for wear. And as I stated I have been spending a lot of time at high trafficked areas the last couple of weeks so it is possible. So apart of me kind of hopes I have it and this is the worse of it. I think most people at some point will contract it and I really hope it’s similar to what I’m feeling.

Best thing is though that you are being aware and accepting all possibilities, something the majority of the world needs to be doing instead of writing it off as a flu and saying it has not repercussions on others or the world. Hope you feel better soon 1
James Bond
My work might be shutting down for a month as a precaution. Forget the toilet paper, I need to stock up on booze if I'm going to spend a month at home!
Gunner55
Well, the first few cases have finally hit my hometown of Winnipeg. It's really opened my eyes the last 24 hours. I think as soon as the NHL announced the cancellation, hell kinda broke loose here. Grocery stores turned into mob scenes. I religiously do my weekly shops on Thursdays. Walked into the local store and the lineups for checkouts were literally wrapped around the perimeter of the store. Waited an hour in that line. I work administration for a grocery store. Today I spent my day on the front lines working a till. Like, my actual job was put on hold to get people in and out of the store faster. To customers credit, everyone seemed to be in good and very polite spirit. That part surprised me most. I fully expected to be chewed out over the lack of toilet paper across the city, but so many people were laughing about it and how ridiculous it is. My boss, the cheapest person ever, approved all overtime for the foreseeable future. Tomorrow morning I will be making over 30 bucks an hour for ringing groceries over a laser beam. I can't get over that hilarious fact. I think the severity of the situation is finally sinking in to me. 30 years on this planet for me and I've never seen or experienced anything like this. We haven't been forced into any type of quarantine or lockdown, but we're definitely trying to not be out of the house longer than necessary. Which, with 2 young kids, is hard. That's been the hardest, trying to explain to the kids what's going on. All schools in the province will be closed March 23rd for 3 weeks and I wouldn't be surprised if that gets extended. So many unknowns. It's kinda unnerving.
