dontdamnmeuyi2015
Since after Glenn Campbell died, GNR added "Wichita Lineman" and after Chris Cornell died he sang "Black hole sun" Do any of you think GNR will now add a Rollings Stones song since Charlie Watts has died? I'm so hoping for Sympathy for the Devil". I am not sure if GNR ever sang this live, but I would go nuts if they performed this song to dedicate to Charlie. If any of you guys go to the next shows, please let us know. thanks.

I really like "Under my thumb" too. or Angie. lol So many amazing Stones songs to choose from. I really hope Axl adds one.
StrangerInThisTown
This band will never play Sympathy for the devil live. Jumpin Jack Flash seems extremely likely though since it was even considered for AFD.
Dean
One of the ballads would be great.

I know for years the Stones never played that song especially after the fiasco in San Francisco with the Hell's Angels. anyway, it would be cool to hear GNR do a Stones song for Charlie.

If you don't know, Slash says GNRs version of the song is "the sound of a band breaking up". Axl made his friend Paul Huge, who Slash despised, play over Slashs solos without telling Slash about it. There's just too much bad history associated with that song for them to ever play it again.

Homefuck
If they're going to play a stones song my best guess is that they will play jumping jack flash or a short interlude of angie or wild horses. Sympathy for the devil is a longshot for obvious reasons, but you never know.

Gibson87
Rocks Off would be a cool one for them to do. Jumpin' Jack Flash would make more sense though Edited August 24, 2021 by Gibson_Guy87

Towelie
A live version of SFTD would be the most brilliantly absurd thing they've done since Absurd. Why not carry on the weird twilight zone vibe of this tour with something else we thought we wouldn't see in a million years... 2

Popular Post Tom-Ass
They were also jamming sweet Melissa when Greg Allman died.. I never thought about how many Stones songs they played.. Wild Horses, Dead Flowers, Sympathy For The Devil, Jumpin Jack Flash.... The acoustic version of Jumping Jack Flash is one of my all time favs.. I play that on touchtunes at bars all the time.. I don't know if anyone noticed but Slash did an instrumental of the Stones version of "You Gotta Move" during his solo spot one show this tour and it was fucking great.. I think it was this tour anyway.. I never saw it until a couple weeks ago if it wasn't... Anyway, I am a huge Stones fan ad I would be 100% down with them playing a Stones cover.. Just don't half ass it... Rehearse it first and do it justice.. That includes the singer..

Draguns
I say yes to a Rolling Stones cover. Jumping Jack Flash would be good or bring back Wild Horses.
