Sosso
I still love the irony of Slash & Duff on Silkworms. I mean, isn't it Absurd Brain sounds great as well. Edited August 6, 2021 by Sosso

It'd be a cool deep cut, but I'm hoping for something a little more (and not hard school) for the next release. Assuming there is one... Or maybe something that Slash or Duff helped write? They are nothing more than studio musicians in this band now.
slash23579
The first new GNR track with Slash in 30 years is Silkworms. How Absurd is that I am really liking the song too, and I’ve always hated Silkworms 2 1

Kinda figured this is how they would credit everything so it looks like the band actually did this and not the guys from 20 years ago lol

Will they split this loot equally? Is Fortus in this? Mellissa? Dizzy?

Popular Post ZoSoRose
I give the Axl, the insane man, credit for this in a weird way. The first single of the reunion, the first GNR song in 30 years with Slash and Duff? Considering the nostalgia cash grab nature of the tour, you'd think a Rick Ruben-esque retread nostalgia song that shares the same structure of an old GNR song (like Black Sabbath's 13) would have been the easy choice. Nope, fuck you. You get Silkworms, bitch. It's insanity. I can't believe this Edited August 6, 2021 by ZoSoRose 14 6 4

Gunsdrummer63
I heard it at Fenway and had a little idea what it was. When I came home I did some digging and heard the 2000/2001 version the studio version is much better. Brain nailed the drums. Very polished and clean slash has a nice tone and solid solos duffs bass (assuming it’s him) is a major highlight the lyrics and structure are odd but growing on me. I really want to see slash on perhaps and hard school now. I’m just glad to get something considering that’s is what I’m calling the first GNR release with slash playing on it in my lifetime

fantomas
Great. Now we have a studio cut of Silkworms. This song is utter shite. Absolute fucking embarrassment. Slash should be ashamed of himself for even wanting to be close to this. Casual fans are going to crucify them for this and rightly so. 2 1
FuriousStyles
I do give them credit that they've been applauded for throwing shit at the wall - that the standard of practice for Guns N' Roses has fallen so incredibly low - that a reworked song that is 20 years old - is met with any type of positive reception is impressive. Most impressive.

Beto 22
Personally I think the instrumental part is good... It has a groove. I really don't know who wrote the lyrics , if it was Axl, Pittman with Dizzy or the 3 together... But it's a weak melody and with tempo flaws! A begginer mistake. Slash inputs are much better in the studio than it has been live . Don't get the british accent on this one. I get it on Down On The Farm, here it doesn't make sense. The bridge is cool because it's a left turn ... Sayin that , you can write, rewrite, record, re-record, tweak here and there, produce, over produce... A weak ideia always will be a weak idea, no matter how hard you work on it
sl4yer
It was a clever move in so many ways Whatever they’re going to release after this will be better!
