Popular Post PaoloLA
Very emotional and caring words from Axl. I really liked him solo on that song. Really well done.🙏🏻❤️ 7

Lethalis
That was a genuine performance and it's special to see Axl play a song alone, without a band. 4
Draguns
Very heartwarming! You can see that Axl was saddened. I think it was a good tribute. 4
Popular Post adamsapple
What is to say other than condolences? I always hoped for an Axl-alone-at-the-piano performance, but never imagined for it to be under such circumstances. I'm sorry. Losing people you love is the hardest thing in life.
Ratam
Wow! Never imagined such lovely Axl y Lisa friendship. I guess that Lisa mom organized the funeral ceremony.

mystery
Axl looks great in those pictures. This is me speculating but I wonder if it hits him a bit harder as someone who's had issues with his health and seemed to look notably healthier in the past year? She was 6 years younger than him and died of cardiac arrest.
Popular Post AxlRoseCDII
Axl looks and sounds great. I've been very negative with GNR for a long time now, and fairly so, but seeing him play at a funeral makes me grateful that he's still around and GNR still exists in some form.
Popular Post D4NNY
1 hour ago, Sledge said: I haven't watched it and I know how people like to attack Axl's vocals but a memorial service isn't a valid arena for hard critique. Exactly. The fact there’s still people attacking his performance is shocking.. this wasn’t a performance for his career, this was a goodbye to someone he was clearly very close to. We don’t know the emotions and struggle he went through during that 10 minutes. There was a moment they showed her casket and even I was taken a back… imagine how Axl felt seeing that while playing and singing, must have been very tough. Add in the fact this was solo, no band waiting at the side of a stage, no backing, it’s not something he’s done in a very long time and if the story of the London shows last year is true (anxiety attacks) this would’ve added a great deal to the nerves. I think he did brilliant 👏🏼 13
itsprettytiedup
Not only Axl, previous artists that also singed in memory of Lisa were very touched and could barely sang. Apart from that, listening to the instrumental part of November Rain after all these years was awesome.
Debt
Where is Allwaystired to tell us how bad his voice sounds? I bet Axl will get crucified for this video. The whole world will see this video. Dear lord. Edited January 22 by Debt
Popular Post Towelie
Took a lot of balls for Axl to do this acoustic at such a traumatic event. Good on him and I actually thought he sounded pretty good. 9
Popular Post waxl1974
Full kudos to Axl for taking this on to show his respect to someone he obviously cared about. Funerals are tough at the best of times, let alone when you know that so many are watching you. Respect to the man the legend. You helped give Lisa a good send off.! rocknroll41
2 hours ago, PatrickS77 said: Right. Totally weird him being nervous talking at a funeral, where he was unsure if he even had the right to be there and speak. After all it's the same like speaking at a concert, right? Do you always have to be so insulting? Especially in threads about death, of all things? 4 minutes ago, Debt said: Where is Allwaystired to tell us how bad his voice sounds? It was only the first few seconds that were rough (understandably so).

I think she was being sarcastic because allwaystired is always pointing out the negative parts regarding Axl and GnR. Anyway, good for Axl and the other artists to honour their friend this way.
BluegrassBlues
This was a beautiful service, and such a lovely way to honor her. It was obvious he was nervous and mourning so I don't feel critiques on the performance are appropriate at this time. Funerals are one of the hardest things to go through, and I hope all her loved ones are able to find peace. My heart is especially with her two children and her mother.

jamillos
It's so unusual to hear Axl finish a song, say thank you, and what follows is a complete silence. What weird times to be alive.
