NITL live videos on youtube

Recommended Posts

I'm 100% sure the only reason they're doing this is because the tour was cancelled. And, considering they don't make any new music, they have to do something to keep fans invested if they're not going to tour all year.

BTW, I absolutely hate the way Axl sings CD now. He doesn't even attempt to get any of the lyrics correct. Why leave it in the setlist at all at this point? (Sadly, we all know why)

I said this earlier, that why on earth are there teleprompters on stage and Axl still gets the lyrics wrong??? It’s just painful to watch

Hey guys, those of you who didnt enjoy that video, should resign to the actual GnR.

This is what they are...Axl is not 30 anymore, he won't sound better unless they are high registered songs, he won't reach the Axl DC level, its been discussed a million times

Therefore, you shouldn't waste your time in watching live GnR footage from NITL...

I think its time for us to give the band and TB a new chance and see what we get, we dont have many other options hahah

I enjoyed it, I think it sounded good in order to actual GnR levels, and I enjoy watching these guys. They arent what they were, but neither am I.

Alright, let’s cool the temperature in the room a bit.

No need to spew vitriol because the mix sucks.

Give me a break downzy. It's not even about the mix.

It's just that this kiddo promises smth big and a month later comes out with a crap like this. Yeah maybe I shouldn't write for some time. Less censorship headache fo you isn't it?

I just don't like being around some ppl who still get excited to watch some half assed emotionless performances of 13 fucking minutes of cliche 30+ songs.

I'm outta here.

But thats what you have been asking for  months/year and shitting on Fernando cause he didn't "follow through" he did  and now you don't want it. Its like a 4 year old kid. again they are coming with more so relax.

My takeaways:

- Axl struggles with one of the songs he used to nail effortlessly not so long ago, which is It’s so Easy;

- Frank is the luckiest guy in rock n roll, got to be the drummer on one of the most anticipated reunions of all time, sucks a lot and is still employed (they should get either Matt or Fitzy to play for them, because for four years straight he has sucked and it kind of takes something away from this whole thing);

- That being said, the one song he kicks ass is Chinese Democracy, I have yet to see a bad performance of that song from this lineup. They do a great job on this track;

- They need to find another sound engineer;

-Cool selection of songs, it was different from the “common place” Jungle/Sweet Child/PC, although the gig should have been any from 2016

-Good on Fernando for actually doing this. Keep ‘em coming!

It's an 8/10, the three "bad" points are:

- Axl not shown much more time in screen

- Sound Mix: so rough, but if you download it and listen with a good EQ and headphones, sounds killer (specially Chinese and DITJ)

- Image Quality: too compressed

So happy with all this. Great performance of the band. Hope this continue next ¿Thursday?

Wonder if Dizzy and Melissa were at this production.

I honestly forgot they were in the band lol

Overall it was ok. In the future I hope they improve the mix and add some crowd noise. It's so weird watching a live show and not hearing anything from the audience

Well i didnt see it on time.... but i did just about some hours later.... and i read all the comments here.

I dont want to sound a 'complainer complainer' but my general impresion of this is a 5/10. This is why: (in a very polite way)

- This sound bad in terms of mixing maybe??? Im not sound expert but its sounded like with no equalizer, a flat sound. This is not the real representation of the band going live.

- The cam mix sucks ass (a not clean ass). That far cam its pointless if you dont zoom in next to when Axl or Slash gonna make the shit explode. The man who worked on this needs to see some UYI shows URGENT and REPLICATE the formula.

- Its time to finish some contracts with some hired members. FF first.

- I will not criticize the voice of the motherfucker bc he have bad and good days do in it. I saw the last show on Mexico (via streaming) and he kick some fkn ass there.

- i didnt got a boner seeing this.... or my eyes on tears...... or my arms on goosebumps, they need more work. I will not see this video again. My 1st and last time.

"INCLOSING!....." the video and audio mix fucked up the magic.

Adding some crap: When GnR released the 3D Bluray shit id got excited so much that i had to buy a new full HD TV with 3D and a good hometeather..... now if they will release a shit like this on 4k...... i dont will buy a new shit 4k tv OOH NOO.

Lot’s of people here are posting criticisms or complaints. Few resort to the level of vitriol you demonstrated in your post.

We allow for all opinions. We don’t allow for bad behaviour. If this distinction is difficult, then it’s probably a good call to take sometime away (from this forum anyway) and come back when you figure it out.

Is it really a big task to throw them to a sound engineer for a day to get them sounding more like an actual concert? Like... just hearing the bass guitar, maybe? For a multi-hundred million dollar enterprise?

I feel the same way :D. Don't wanna be negative...

But.... it sounds like shit! Separate from the actual performance. I watch GNR vids all the time... I'll never watch this one again! Mission accomplished? Props for trying, I suppose!

Listen to that... its just a webcast, not a concert DVD... with a paltry 2 million views. Sounds infinitely better? And there's a ton of them from different shows.

well, Metallica sells their shows on their site... That's why it's "worked". I don't believe that GNR cares because they just put it in a shelf somewhere

So I just watched the whole thing again, and I have a long record of criticizing it, but I don't hear anything glaringly awful about Axl’s performance. Sure these are the ”easier” songs but he hits the rasp when he is supposed to and stays on key.
